You probably have had this happen to you often enough not to want to register to any site in sheer frustration of giving a vald email address for confirmation.Thats all very well in case you are going to visit the site often. But maybe it's just a message board you want to read one time only, or a store you have no interest in shopping from again and from which you don't want to be saddled with a lifetime of spam.

Of course you can get a free email account specifically for uses like this from any number of web-based mail systems, such as Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, or Gmail. However, registering for any of these takes an eternity. Then there are passwords to remember, a mother's maiden name or a favourite pet's name to input, and all kinds of other info and details to give in order to set the acccount up.

The 10 minute mail is just the solution you may like. It provides, for free, an email address that vanishes after 10 minutes. There's no registration, no verification. Just go to the site and hit "Get my 10 Minute Mail e-mail address." You instantly get an address that ceases to exist after 10 minutes. You can then use this new address in filling out web forms, and a very simple web-based interface gives you full access to any mail the account receives. The one provisio is that you can reply to any messages, but you can't send mail to an account that hasn't already emailed you. If you can't get the job done in 10 minutes, you can reset the timer to 10 minutes at any time.

It works flawlessly and couldn't be easier to use.

What happens when you have to go back and login sometime later (perhaps to check your order) and you're forgotten your password and cannot be reached via your now-extinct email?

The whole purpose of this is to avoid an additional mailbox you have to create, monitor an empty empty of spam. Its not for any sort of permanancy.
