This 1984 parody of Hillary Clinton looking very Big Brotherish is a very good example of how individuals can impact the 2008 election. Regardless of how you feel about the candidates the rules and control of media have changed.

Stories are becoming news from the bottoms up. Even the media reports on it this way now. Notice how news sites like CNN continue to push this story forward. The impactful story they are telling is we have a voice and a channel. Now it's the creativity of the individual and the ability of the medium to push a message. Nolonger is it dependent upon big money.

Just like a good PR move, this keeps the story going of how individuals can create their own "commercials" that impact the world. No doubt, this is just the beginning for 2008. Professional firm JibJab made their mark in 2004 with "this land is your land" and 2008 will be the year of you. Look at how far we have come. Does Gore get credit for this? j/k.

Thanks for posting this, Paul. I've read about it, and the official Obama campaign denies having made this video although the person who made it did work for Obama. I don't think we should pay a lot of attention to such things like this video, and I am disappointed when it apppears to have so much meaning to so many people.
