1 rule to lose weight

There’s 1 rule to lose weight, well actually there’s many but what you are about to read is probably the 1 thing that you will need to gain control of before you can seriously lose weight. The 1 rule to lose weight is “How to Eat” it’s not just what you eat that’s preventing you from losing weight, but it’s also how you eat. Many people believe that by skipping meals and only eating one main meal in the evening that they would be able to lose weight. In fact a guy I know had mentioned to me recently that he had been doing just that and wondered why he wasn’t able lose weight. I told him the reason he was unable to lose weight like this was because all his calories were being absorbed at once, and too late in the day, and not giving his metabolism enough time to burn the calories. His metabolism was shut down all day and only became active at night, and would soon shut down again when he went to sleep.

For the best possible results you will need to eat three meals a day to lose weight. The most important meal is breakfast, it’s best to consume most of your daily calories in the morning than at any other time in the day. This gives your body all day to burn off the calories that you have consumed. If you eat late in the evening you are not giving your body enough time to burn the calories. When this guy started to eat three meals a day, he started to lose weight. As well as eating three meals a day it’s also important not to eat just before you go to bed, because the calories will stay in your system and not be burnt off. If the temptation becomes too much then try and find something other than eating to do before going to bed. You could try doing some stretches, yoga, sit ups, push ups or even do some cycling if you have one, all while watching TV. I have found this to work very well, I don’t mean anything strenuous, just enough to keep your mind off of eating.

You will also need to control your portions. I know that you will want to avoid chocolate and crisps etc while dieting, but once you have dieted and lost the weight then it really is not much of an issue. As long as you watch your portions, I would recommend that if you were to eat a bar of chocolate, then before you do just break off a few chunks and make that your allowance for the day. Another thing to remember is that when you finish your meal, and think that you are still hungry (this was a problem I used to have), just give yourself 20 minutes or so before raiding the cupboards again. This allows your brain enough time to register that you are full. This is probably the best 1 rule to lose weight tip you will get! You could also cut your meal portions in half, this sounds a bit drastic but is easier than many people realise, this will greatly increase your chances of losing weight. All too often we eat until we feel we are bulging which is not at all good for us. If you want to maintain a healthy weight, you need to eat until you are not hungry not until you feel full. Get out of the habit of finishing a meal because you don’t want to waste it because this can prevent you from losing weight.

You should try to maintain a good digestive system so that it works properly every day which will prevent constipation that can also cause weight gain and bloating. This can be achieved by eating at the same time every day and maintaining a good eating pattern. This will also help you to move your bowels once a day, usually at the same time each day. This will eventually give you good weight control and help you to lose weight, as well as keeping your digestive system healthy. Thoroughly chewing your food will help you to lose weight, because it’s harder to digest larger pieces of food than it is smaller pieces. You also tend to eat more when you don’t chew thoroughly, because it takes your brain longer to realise what you have just eaten. Drink a glass of water before each meal, which will help you to feel full. If you only have 6 pounds or so to lose then, by drinking a glass of water before your meals and chewing your food thoroughly is probably all you’ll need to do.

Remember the 1 rule to a Lose Weight plan is not just to focus on what you’re eating, but also look at how you eat. You won’t need to make any drastic changes to your lifestyle, just concentrate on what we’ve spoken about and you will find it easy to shed some pounds.
