Toyota Tamaraw car model was a famous car in the Philippines and it is the most common Taxi that can be found mostly in the Manila roads. This car name model Tamaraw was a water buffalo in water Tagalog or Filipino. Their were many models designed and the first model was released in 1977 in the Philippines. The Tamaraw FX model was introduced in the late 1986 and was derived from the 1984 Toyota Hilux and most of the engine is powered by diesel.

Most of the models of the Tamaraw FX are a 1990's design like 1997 model or 1998 model and Tamaraw FX taxi can accommodate many passengers as compared to a Toyota altis taxi. Tamaraw FX are cheap compared to others automobiles and there are lot of second hand of this car that can be found in most of the buy and sell websites in the Philippines.

Unlike the Toyota Tamaraw FX which has a 5 door this Toyota Corolla Altiis has a 4 door which most of the common taxi has. It is more convenient to ride in Altis than Tamaraw FX but the Tamaraw FX hare cheaper fare.
