2008 white house correspondents dinner

The 2008 White House Correspondents' Association dinner took place on April 26th at the Washington Hilton Hotel.

It marked President Bush's final appearance at the annual dinner, a black tie fete that used to provide a chance for pols and journalists to set aside their differences for an evening, and raise money for scholarship.

Washington heavyweights were represented, as well, including Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff and former Secretary of State Colin Powell.
