Well Ladies and Gentlemen, this weekend is week one of the 2009 NFL season. Our beloved Seattle Seahawks wrapped up the pre-season in style, finishing 4-0 and looking good doing it. Now we all know that the pre-season doesn't mean jack. I mean look at the Detroit Lions. They finished the pre-season 4-0 last year and then they lost all 16 games that actually mattered. I don't think that will be the case for our Seahawks though. Last year was a fluke. We were destroyed by injuries in just about area of the team. With the talent that we have this year, there is no reason why, unless our whole team gets hurt again, we shouldn't win the division and go deep in the playoffs. We finally have a deep-threat in Housh. Our defense is looking good and will only look better once Trufant is back on the field. We have one of, if not the, best linbacking corps in the NFL. Honestly, try to show me a team with linbackers better than Tatupu, Hill and Curry. You can't do it. Now lets look at our offense. I already mentioned Housh. You add a fresh Burleson, rookie Deon Butler and stud TE Carlson to the mix and you can't go wrong, no matter who Matt throws to. On top of that, we have a couple of running backs in Julius Jones and Justin Forsett that can catch coming out of the backfield. I still think the running game is our weakness, but it should be improved from the last couple of years. All in all I think we have a great season to look forward to. I think we'll stumble a bit and lose a game two that we shouldn't, but I think we'll finish with 10 or 11 wins and be sitting at the top the NFC West once again. I guess time will tell. GO HAWKS!!
