2009 World Series Phillies Yankees

Major League Baseball World Series Tickets are difficult to buy. The 2009 World Series tickets will be even more difficult to get due to the match up of the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Yankees. This World Series will be dubbed " The Turnpike Series" given the two cities proximity to each other. Obtaining 2009 World Series Tickets will require either entering a lottery or buying from a ticket broker or scalper or on sites such as Ebay or Stubhub. Any World Series featuring the Yankees is popular and given that the Phillies are the reigning World Champions, these World Series tickets will be extremely desirable. It is important to know how to avoid scams and rip off artists when trying to buy World Series tickets.

Team sites

The New York Yankees deadline has already passed for World Series Tickets. They went on sale at 10 am Wednesday and sold out by 10:02. The Philadelphia Phillies still offer a newsletter sign up for ticket information but season ticket holders have already been given an opportunity to purchase additional tickets to the 2009 World Series so there are most likely few if any tickets left to buy.

This is an ETicket

Buying online.

Most online ticket sellers will offer what is called an ETicket. This is an electronic ticket that once emailed to you can be printed out and presented at the event.

ETickets are where most people are scammed!

An ETicket can be printed out and resold numerous times. Clever counterfeiters can duplicate a ticket just by obtaining a small amount of information and resell the same seat to unsuspecting buyers.

If you are going to buy a World Series Ticket online you should only buy from a reputable ticket agent, highly rated seller on Ebay or from Stubhub.

Ticket agencies rely on repeat business so most of them are not trying to scam someone one time. Vivid Seats and PurchaseTickets are large ticket brokers that have easy to use interfaces and offer competitivity priced seats.

One Advantage to using a ticket broker is that they have a set price. Auctions are fun right up until you get blown out of the water at the last minute. World Series Tickets will not be cheap and will be hard to get yet there are still people believing that they will somehow snatch tickets online for a fraction of what the current demand is for tickets.

If you want World Series Tickets, do not bother participating in an auction.

Ticker Trader Sites

Ticket sites such as StubHub and ShowTimeTIckets offer interfaces that allow people to buy and sell tickets online. These sites are safe for buying ETickets because they use ticket verification to screen out duplicates.

StubHub offers both auctions and fixed price. Auctions rarely close for much less than what the flat price is on average.

If you want World Series Tickets, do not bother participating in an auction.

See what the going rates are and look for a fair deal.

Ebay

Ebay offers another option for someone seeking to buy World Series Tickets. Ebay is known for it's auction format and by now you should know that I don't recommend buying World Series Tickets from an auction. Ebay sellers do offer Buy It Now options and fixed price listings for tickets and ebay is a good place to judge the demand and pricing.

Be careful of people selling World Series Tickets who have either a poor selling history or a low number of sales. With an expensive item like World Series Tickets, extreme caution must be paid to who is selling them just as much as the price. Look for a seller with a high feedback and a high number of sales.

Advantages

Ticket Brokers are looking to make a consistent profit where as individual sellers are looking to make a windfall just once. I would explore PurchaseTickers.com or Vivid Seats.com to buy but reference Ebay and ShowtimeTickets to see what the going rates are.
