2010 - 50,000 (Fifty Thousand) Dollar Economic Stimulus Check.
The U.S. Economy is in shambles and Capitol Hill scrambles to find an answer to the problem. What can government do in order to stimulate the economy?
First off, trickle down economics doesn’t work. Back in the 80’s it worked. But since we are in a global economy the trickle down money of yesteryear wouldn’t stimulate the U.S. Economy, it would stimulate overpaid CEOs and manufacturers overseas.
What about the government bailout packages for corporations? I don’t think they will work that well. You can give all the money you want to the auto industry, but if people don’t have any money or credit to buy a car, the Automakers are still going to go under.
What is the answer to stimulating the economy? Here is the simplest solution. It’s so easy that the government wouldn’t even consider it.
The swift and prudent action would be to give each middle-class taxpayer a stimulus check of 50,000 dollars. Yes, $50,000! With all the money we have given to banks, businesses and auto makers, we could afford to give each taxpayer 50k.

So how would giving people a 50 thousand dollar stimulus check stimulate the economy? If you give the taxpayers a 50 thousand dollar economic 2010 stimulus check they will spend. For example, Joe The Plumber gets a check or direct deposit of 50,000 dollars. He goes to Walmart and buys a new Plasma TV. Walmart makes money on the sale, Magnavox makes money because they are selling more TVs and the employees of Magnavox and Walmart are working and making money. Joe the plumber can now watch a Cleveland Browns game and everyone is happy.
Jane, the single mom, just got her 50 thousand dollar economic 2010 stimulus check. She’s happier than a pig in mud. Jane needs a new car. She doesn’t want to spend her entire 50 thousand dollar economic stimulus check on a new car so she drops 5 grand down on a new GM car and finances the rest. In this example, GM is making and selling cars. GM employees are back to work. Credit is flowing again because the bank loaned Jane money for her car. The guys at the steel mill are making more steel for GM and the vendor that fills the vending machines at the steel mill is happy because people are buying the potato chips out of his machine.
Are we getting a stimulus check in 2010? Let's hope we get a 2010 stimulus check.

The first stimulus check went out to 124 million people. IF $50,000 were paid out to even 100 million, it would cost $5 Trillion. That's more than 8 times the cost of the Iraq war thus far. Even half as much...$25,000 out to 100 million= $2.5 trillion is more than 4 times as much as the war cost up to this point. You need a better calculator.

our stimulus checks should be 50k in order to bailout the auto industry. Who is going to buy cars unless they have money. What is GM going to do with the bailout money??? Are they going to buy thei own cars?
americans do need to get off there ass money shouldn't go toward big buisness bailout but 50 k is a rediculous amount of money to be paid out 600 is a ridiculous amount when its added up maybe we should just redistribute the nearly 400k undilivered stimulus check its only about 250 million dollars. shit just join the military for all of those 18 to 30ish depending on what service you join army reseve is taking people up to 42 its what ever would it stimulate the economy yes would it be posible no there would be a huge snowball effect afterword that can't even be imagined just me saying whatever
just what about the people on social security?What about the people that don't have money for clothing much less a car or truck.just what is the poor people going to do when they live on a fixed income like socoial security and SSI.I think that a second stimulus check would help alot.at least people would have money in their pocket to spend.
this pop into my head o couple of weeks ago. why didnt they take the money that they gave to auto industry and give it to the american population. getting people to spend will help the econonmy more than stuffing the pockets of auto industry. if they go under o well. its the nature of buisness. i dont see the gov't trying to help dying resturants or department stores. the people who work at these places make up much more of the population than the people making cars.

I think that all of this about building jobs for people is good but wait. what about the small towns they are laying off people to. And they might have to drive 50 60 miles to a big town to work and if they dont have the money for a good !!!! car what are they going to do and how are they going to feed there familys. i do think that we need a paper check and not a tax cut in our payroll. becouse eather way they will get it back, becouse you want get a incometax. i know some people want think this is right but try working 2 job like my self and having to take care of 2 kids and only making about 16,000 a year thats with working 7 days a week.
if all middle class making $5000.00 to $30,000.00 a year should get $30,000.00 stimulus check. anyone making more then $30,000.00 to $50,000.00 a year should get $25,000.00 stimulus check.and anyone making over $50,000.00 a year should only get $10,000.00 stimulus. this will for sure get the money going in all directions including going back to taxes, so no matter how you look at it ,its going back to economy in every way!! this is only solution period!!

Actually I don't think we are getting a check, I think we are just getting tax cuts which is BS.

This $50,000 per person would have to be paid back. I just wrote a hub about something similar 5 minutes ago and came across yours.
The best solution would be to give homeowners a 1% APR on their homes slashing their monthly payments by over 50%. This would generate a continuous flow of extra money every month on a steady basis.
So if your mortgage payment is $1,400/mo. it now would be less than $700/mo.
Everyone would have more disposable income to spend on stuff. In this situatiion 100% of all money is paid back + interest to cover the cost of running the program.
