20 Words You Can Use Instead of AMAZING

If you're a regular visitor to Digg.com, DJ or any other social network site you will see the word “AMAZING” in the title. It seems everyone uses this word sort of to lure people to read their blogs and articles. Many hate the word, instead would rather have an alternate word instead of just “AMAZING”.

I tend to use the the word "wonderful" alot, maybe I should start using amazing! These are good alternatives, I'll try some of them in my future posts.
It happens, we don't know it but none of the above words have the same catchy feeling as AMAZING :)

what about stupendous? this is a very useful list. i see people use the words amazing and awsome all the time and that is all they use because they don't have a very rich vocabulary. i will tell this to some of my friends.
Thats a good one :) Amazing seems to be a common every one uses it to highlight any thing.
English is not my first language, and I'm always checking for ways and means to better my vocabulary and grammar, this is just great hope to see more!

I LOVE this list. It's great fun and informative as well. Now could you please post a listing for the word 'love' when it really means 'enjoy'? I obviously have a problem with that word. ;-)

I'm tempted to simply insert the word Amazing as a response :)
I find some of these words might contradict the traditional expression of amazement - such as overwhelming or unthinkable - which both have a slightly negative connotation.
The important thing I take away from this post is the need for a little thought when writing. Hype laden adjectives can degrade the quality of a post - and bringing in a few unexpected words in place of the obvious can enrich the conversation.
Nice idea for a post.
