21st Century Fools!!!!
Many will be wondering as to why I chose the picture of the North Korea leader as my Sample Picture. It seems am his supporter or what do you think, but don’t be mistaken as am not a North Korean, I don’t support his stands on nuclear weapons or his attack threats or whatever, but I recently captured a very evergreen statement he made that I read over the papers and since then I have come to know that the man said something that we all have to fully examine and you may have come across this especially if you have been following the happenings with regards to the honorable president. I may not like his threats to his South Korean counterpart (as I always read) or his threats of attack (which some people have come to reason that its for attention by the way), but during one of the statements he made in the follow-up to the partly online attack to South Korea he stressed (in view to support the sensitive nature and importance of computers to the society these days) that the Three Biggest Fools of this century are:
1. Smokers
2. Those that do not appreciate music
3. Computer illiterates
Well on this note I find the basis for my write up today. Come to think of if, the man was 100 percent right only that I strongly believe the list is not fully complete, there are still some great stupid or foolish things, people do today which are only reserved for fools, but the man here said the most important ones that pertain to him (for me, I still have my long list of the foolish of the foolish) but lets focus on this three sub tittles. Now check your self, do you appreciate music (any genre)? , do you smoke?? Are you a computer illiterate (I strongly don’t believe you are because if you are, you would not be reading this up to this level). For me here, I do appreciate music so much (don’t even worry about the genre), so much that I cannot do a full day without getting my I pod on. It’s that serious and unless you do music like I do, you will not understand how music can make your life better. No wonder while the legendary writer Shakespeare said that music is a food for the soul, yes I believe it, it really is. Music can change my mood; it keeps me company, keeps me thinking and also keeps my mind running around. I don’t know how it is for you, but I strongly recommend that you get into it. Music can help you get in the mood in which ever way you want it, it can put you up in the mood, take you out of the mood, which ever mood you desire, may be to get some inspiration, it helps you, although I believe sincerely that God is the utmost inspirer, but music inspires also (don’t get it twisted though). For me the sounds of the music can help me get to any high I desire, especially the instrumentals, they really do. I will rather say to you if you haven’t to discover yourself and discover your music.
Now, smoking, what really is smoking? How come smoking? Because of cold (sometimes), the need to get “high” or because you want cancer and probably death? What is the reason for smoking? I don’t do smoking (sorry if I have stepped on your toes) and I highly disregard it and those who do as well. Don’t get me wrong, I drink, yeah I do (but you don’t know what I drink) but smoke? Hell no. How does it help? Someone please give me an answer; tell me why I should start smoking out my self so urgently, as I urgently need your advice. I desist smoking, now I think, the inside body is mostly moist and liquid, how come I dry my self up within? No sense. I can smoke as I like if I desire but it is a decision after a very good reasoning. I don’t have nothing more to say but somebody please do tell me and school me on why I should get on with smoking because I wonder why so many a people are carrying on with this. It is also very important to note that almost about 90 percent of lung cancer disease is caused by smoking (that is massive if you ask me but what have we human beings become that even if you show some people all these about what concerns them and there health, they will never take it serious. We all seriously have to desist from smoking because it never means any good to anyone
Computer illiteracy is what I think should be totally wiped out on earth before 2015, yes it is important, considering that we now operate in two worlds; everybody should get their own share of what this great scientific discovery has got to offer. Nobody expects me to start enumerating the importance of computer here as even if you are quickly woken from a deep sleep, you can give me at least ten importance of computer, but still at that, a percentage of the world population is still ignorant of this. Please if you reading this have one near you, please take the pains to take the person through some computer sessions as its of a great benefit to the him or her, this is the direction the world has taken now and everybody should be carried along. We all need to know this thing right here, its knowledge base is as wide as wide (if you understand what I mean), definitely the computer system really have something of interest to every individual on earth even as many individuals are smiling to the bank with millions made through this same piece, so any body that has not gotten along is not living here with us in this century, hence the reason why he or she is referred to as the biggest fools of the century(sorry if you belong to this class as observed by the great North Korea leader.
Now can we say the man is right with his observations and his comments? that is now up to you to tell me, maybe through your comments but I think he didn’t miss his path (another way to say I think he was right after all), but there are more fools in this century that he is still yet to discover and tell us and he should focus on delivering dividends to the citizens of his country than causing international pandemonium. It’s up to you. Keep being in good shape and say no to smoking

ryankett, I will try my best not to offend you but I think am embarrassed by your comment considering the fact that you are rated high here on hubpages. Why do you call yourself a writer? Do you think that this opportunity you have today in expressing your weak ideas online, that others even in the main Sub-Saharan Africa don’t need it and can do better with it? But they don’t have access to it. So because you don’t know how to provide the whole world with clean water and prevent malaria and starvation, the benefits of the internet should lie idle. How long has this fight for preventing malaria, starvation and the rest been in place without getting meaningful results? Why are you blogging? What effort have you made personally to help reduce these epidemics? Do you know how many people that have gotten education, good careers, and great opportunities online? Massive if you ask me! I have to stop here because I know you are less informed and ignorant. Do some research or stop browsing at once period!!
Become computer literate why? So I can critique and agree with aspects of the Juche ideology? It is the computer literacy of North Korean's which is allowing them to fight online wars with South Korea, and other countries, has allowed their development of Nuclear technologies, and yet they are ultimately still oppressed. Do you think North Koreans are chatting with each other on Facebook? Or reading BBC news 24? Or reading American blogs?
As it happens, since we are on the subject of starvation, ask yourself why there are millions of starving North Koreans whilst they spend big on digital technologies. Ignorance is bliss.
First, Ignorance is never a bliss! ok, dont let it decieve you. Answer this; in the Uk where you are with so much Government investment to free starvaton from the people, are there no people still in that cave that you are that are still dying from starvation. What would you have been if you never had the opportunity to surface online? What would you have become? Talking about internet banking, online services, facebook and the rest, do you think that the Koreans or whoever you said does not need the opportunity you got now? Be truthful to yourself man. Get a life. Browse through the net and get your facts right before blogging. stop staying on your BBC stuff alone (I can see from your comment)they are always outdated. follow the news. your problem still remains that you are ignorant and I wonder if you could still be ignorant on news and issues with your hopping online everyday. Just as you know you have to wear a cloth even without eating, so also will the computer become one day - very soon. you ve got to commend me on that article.
I dont have to commend you on any article, there are 500,000 articles on hubpages - I only found it because you spammed the forums. Does that mean I have to agree with it? Your beginning to sound a little like Kim Jung Il yourself.... I dont have to conform to your ideologies. You seem semi-illiterate, and a little stupid, of course there are no people in the UK dying from starvation; we have one of the most efficient welfare and health care systems in the world.
wow this is a bit heavey....... liked your hub and it's aftermath

Computer literacy needs to be wiped out by 2015? Are you completely stupid, we still dont know how to provide the whole world with clean water or to prevent starvation and malaria epidemics. The majority of the worlds population doesn't even own a computer, most of those that do are still using dial up internet connections, something like 10% of people in America cannot even read or write, why would they need a computer? This statement probably qualifies for one of the most stupid I have ever read. Do you think that most Sub-Saharan Africans sit around saying that they need to learn how to use computers, despite not having electricity and having to feed their families on something like $1 a day? You Sir are the 21st century fool.
