Facebook itself is really not that entertaining. There really isn't much to do on the site except look for old friends. So, people have come up with all sorts of, let's call them "activities", to do. They circulate by making the people who fill it out send it to 10, 15, 25, 50, or more firends. The most recent activity that I have gotten had instructions that went like this: "Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you and you to know more about me." I always choose not to follow these rules. I consider these a form a chainmail and ignore them. I have learned a bit about a couple of my friends, though.

However, this "activity" seemed like something I would enjoy doing. It is a lot more difficut than you would think. So, instead of participating in this on Facebook, I have decided to complete it here, on Hubpages.

25 Random Things About Me:

1. I was married the day before I turned 22.

2. I got my first dog at age 21.

3. I did not listen to the radio for over 3 years. (Ever since Radio 104 was taken over by a non-rock station. Started listening again when it was bought by a rock station again.)

4. I love to sing, but not in public. I thought about auditioning for American Idol, for about a minute.

5. Even talking about marketing gets me excited. I love marketing.

6. Enough never seems to be enough.

7. My great grandmother had 19 children, no multiples. 2 died before they turned a year old, though.

8. I spent the entire year from 1996-1997 wishing I could be a Spice Girl.

9. I want to write at least one book and have it published.

10. If I could repeat high school with the knowledge I have now, I would.

11. I took a TV commercial acting class, but never auditioned for any commercials. But, I do have a blog about commercials, http://commercialsnmore.today.com (sorry, I had to!)

12. I used to (try to) write songs.

13. I want to visit as many states and/or cities as I can in my lifetime. 11 down: VT, NH, MA, CT, RI, PA, MD, NY, AZ, NV, LA, 39 to go.

14. I now plan on obtaining my Doctorate someday (it may take until I am 50 or even longer!)

15. I can't stand kids, and will not have any of my own. (besides my husband HeHe)

16. I am planning on becoming an egg donor.

17. I went from being the shyest person to being look at as a leader during college.

18. I was Vice President of Advertising and Vice President of Communications for the SCSU chapter of the American Marketing Association.

19. I am a firm believer that no one can keep a secret.

20. I became a reverend on June 6, 2006, while drunk. I am anti-religion.

21. I have had a feeling for a few years that I was going to end up working at a financial company, even though I stink at math. And now I do! I work for Barnum Financial Group, an office of MetLife.

22. The more time my husband and I spend together, the happier we are, which I think is opposite from most people.

23. I still enjoy some 90s music.

24. There is nothing like the feeling of being on stage with a cast of people or a music group. I miss that the most. I was in choir, an acapella group, and in drama in high school.

25. I have been friends with my friend Laura since we were 5, in the same kindergarten class.

I just got a message from a facebook friend on her 25 things --she's a fab writer so I ate up her list of 25 items, but she was ever so gracious not to tag me! :-)

On 19, we could argue for hours, I'm sure! Laugh!  Secrets are as good as their keepers, problem being, most secret keepers aren't good enough --refer to #6 :-)

I was tagged a few times, and then finally broke down and tried to write my 25. I realized a couple of things about myself I had been trying to supress. But I have to say it bugs me that there are people who actually get paid for coming up with these applications. . .

I'm with Teresa - somebody gets paid to come up with these things.  Call me a spoil sport, but I couldn't come up with a list of 25 things about myself to share with my children, let alone on FaceBook.  That's why I joined HubPages. I don't have to make a list, just leave comments all over the place.  The kids (and everybody else) can draw their own conclusions about who I *really* am.  lol!

Good hub! As someone much older, facebook isn't something I get real well, but you did explain the mystery of getting tagged, so that helped.
