2 yr Old Drummer Continues for 9 Years - Tyler Hudson

Sometime parenting gets a lot of blame for not raising their kids properly, but one has to praise them when credit is due especially the parents of Tyler Hudson for honing his skill from an early age of 2. The video shows the progressive growth of Tyler's talents in drums. At the age of 5 he started playing for some bands and plays like a pro even at that age.

Tyler is very modest when talking about his own musical abilities; many musicians including major recording artists have called him a prodigy. Tyler appreciates compliments like these but feels he has a very long way to go to get to where he really wants to be musically.

Having a professional guitarist/singer for a father and growing up in the Boston area, Tyler has been exposed to musicians and music all his life. Tyler's fascination with the drums began when he was about three years old when his parents agreed to store a friend's drum set in their living room while he relocated. The attraction to something that makes sounds from hitting it with a stick was all he needed to know. From the first time he sat down at a drum kit he had a grasp of rhythm that was remarkable. Self taught by listening to CD's and watching videos, Tyler was told he was already playing at a high school level when he began formal training at age 6 with Berkley graduate Shawn Meehan. Tyler now takes instruction from Berkley teacher Mike Mangini.

He also co-writes songs for his current group, MindWalk Band. He is 12 now and he will be a bright star soon, no doubt.
