I'm sure that if you are like me, your computer is one of your most prized possessions and you rely greatly on it whether for work or for school. Because of this huge role it plays in our lives, it is our responsibility to make sure that we keep it as clean as possible so that it maintains its usability. One problem that has plagued many though is that of extremely slow computers. No matter how thinks appear to be on the outside, if they aren't kept maintained inside they will slow down on you. Many people don't know what warning signs to look for ad to the deteriorating of their computer. After reading this and following some advice you will be amazed at the potential that your computer possesses.

Cleaners: The most common cleaners on computers are the anti-virus and anti-spyware ones. These are very handy when it comes to protecting you computer and keeping it bug free, but they, unfortunately, are not free. One absolute must have for a cleaner is a registry cleaner. Although many are completely unaware of it, the registry is an incredibly important part of the computers system. What the registry does is store all of a user's login and software information. The main problem that is faced though is that anything that goes onto the registry is there; it cannot be deleted or removed. I'm sure that if you think about the huge amounts of junk that you are collecting within that registry you will be able to understand why it is bogging your computer down. To get rid of this mess you can use a registry cleaner such as CCleaner.

Hardware Updates: These updates are absolutely necessary. By doing these updates you will be able to keep your computer running at its tip-top speed. Those who are ‘experts' in this field will highly recommend RAM updated to you. The RAM (Random Access Memory) is a part of the computer that will store various pieces of information for your computer. Depending on the size of your RAM determines what size files will run efficiently. If you only have a small bit of RAM you will be more likely to find that your computer is slowing down to the speed of a sloth. Therefore it is a good idea to update and get new RAM after a few years to make sure that your computer stays running quickly and that your RAM is compatible with your computer.

‘Defrag': This is a term very common amongst avid computer users. Defragmentation is something that needs to be done on a regular purpose so that your computer can obtain all of the missing files and folders all while making sure that they are all in their proper places. Some of your files may not seem to be overly important, but once they go missing on you, you will truly see their importance. But here is some very good news! The program that is needed for you to perform the defragmentation process is available on all Windows OS computer and it is completely FREE!

If you follow these three steps you will find that you can optimize the speed of your computer. Remember that to keep your computer running the way you like it, regular updates and check-ups need to be preformed. Trust me, you'll be happy you did!
