3 Steps To Increase Traffic To Your Website and Make Money Online
63There are thousands if not millions of would-be online entrepreneurs trying to make a living online today – Especially from countries other than the United States where job possibilities are limited to the point that if they work twelve hours a day for seven days a week it will not feed themselves or their families.
Turning to the Internet for financial relief is a logical step but just writing content will not get us paid. To make money online you need to increase traffic to your website by building quality targeted backlinks to your content to be successful and make that needed money.
Increase Traffic To Your Website
Steps to Increasing Your Website Traffic
Step 1: Writing compelling useful content that will naturally be searched for and be popular among Internet surfers is very hard and no matter how much you content you create probably only one percent will become that popular. Even if you are formally trained writer with some sort of magic laptop computer your chances for huge success is very limited. So keep throwing mud at the Internet and see what sticks and build on that subject to become more popular in the search engine results.
You also need to incorporate some good basic white hat SEO principles into your unique and fresh content.
The keyword phrase that you are trying to target should be in of course your article or content title, Meta description and keyword fields, tags if appropriate, and categories. Also use your main keyword phrase at least one if not twice within the body of your online creation.

Step 2: ABBL (Always Be Building Back Links): This is 80 to 90 percent of your making money online effort. If you have solid content and you get an initial blast of interest from social book marking due to having done some solid writing but then it drops off and gets no traffic – then you do not have enough backlinks.
A minimum of a dozen back links with your keyword phrase and variations of they targeted keyword should be pointing to your main content page or website. This is not nearly enough though, but it is a good start – After getting those initial backlinks then just let that content sit and marinate so the search engines can find it naturally. DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR URLS or WEBSITES TO THE SEARCH ENGINES. Why? Because the big three like to find their content serendipitously and do not like it to be pushed on them – I guess they see this as SPAM and do not want it in any form.
Wait 30-35 days then start building about 10-15 links per week until you become number one in Google for your niche keyword. How many links will this take? There is no answer for this since you will have others competing for the same word and you have no idea about how aggressive their backlink campaigns are being perused. So it could be a couple of dozen, a hundred links or even over a thousand.
You just have to weigh the money coming in versus the work to see if it is still worth perusing after a few months. It’s not an exact science in this area but you will get a feel for these variables after a while.
Step 3: Keep Building Content and Tweaking Older Content – Massive momentum in building fresh content and getting those needed backlinks will help you get a jump start needed to help keep you motivated when trying to make money from the Internet. If you just build a couple of content pages here on Hubpages.com or a few niche blogs and weight a few months the odds are you will be disappointed and want to quit.
This fail-safe action keep you motivated and also ingrain the work ethic you will need in the future to keep this money making empire going. Remember the “mud” statement – you never know what is going to stick to the search engine wall and get your needed results so sling buckets instead of handfuls on that wall to expect better results.
If you are not getting the results from content that you wrote weeks, months or even a year ago – start tweaking it – When we start out writing online articles we are just starting to sharpen our craft and after a year your skills will have improved. Look at it this way – If you follow a movie star’s career from beginning to end – you will see how they improve their performances over the years. Why? Because your practice makes perfect and online article creation is especially susceptible to this rule.

Going to bookmark this and come back to study. I'm writing but do not know the rest as to marketing it. Haven't even figured out how to get Google Analytics to work yet. Came to the computer age at a not so young age. Guess that explains it! At least that is my excuse. Thanks for the pep talk.
