3DJay - the best virtual world I have ever been in
65
My homes in virtual space
Almost everybody chats these days: for work, for friends, for fun, for help, or for no reason. I chat, too, in different ways: text, voice, video and 3D. Of these, I found 3D chat the most fun.
Imagine walking out to the street, and picking up a conversation with a friend, or better, a stranger from another time zone. One learns so many things and one can share many others. Imagine taking a date for a swim at the pier with harmless sharks around, or to a party where everyone is in high spirits, or to your home that you have decorated with much care and creativity. You can tell a joke and watch people laugh, and that's very gratifying. I like seeing people laugh.
These are things I had always wanted to do, so one day I googled 3D chat places. There were so many, and I explored them one by one. Each had unique qualities and each had problems. Well, this technology, like any technology, is not perfect!
Some had cool graphics, some had wonderful emotes, some had great places to explore, some gave your avatar great clothes and attractive looks, and many gave you credits to spend on most of the above.
Well, an important lesson I learnt, and that I hope the creators of these worlds learn is that the sweetness of the inhabitants is directly proportional to that of the place. No point creating a place where every prospect pleases and only man is vile. Or woman, if you are for equal rights.

I stumbled upon 3djay in my searches. After I had seen sites with various levels of maturity and rudeness, I was delighted to meet a range of beautiful people of many ages, timezones and appearances whose shared quality was kindness. The place is in alpha version, and I almost gave up when I crashed several times after I signed up. But, I kept trying again, to meet the sweet people I had made friends with.
Most of the bugs have been ironed out, and the beta version is due soon. I have stopped crashing now, a bigger wardrobe, and more places to hang out with people too.
You have to visit the place to experience and understand the welcoming I received. Here, try it out for yourself:
What do I do at 3Djay?
I listen to music and dance, I talk, I flirt, I joke...I even won a trivia contest once! I am so proud of that!
They have a movie theatre where you can watch movies with your friends and without the popcorn expense. You can decorate your home, and even add some rooms to it. All for free, at least it was like that yesterday. Better sign up before they change their minds!
There are many hangouts you can go to from the Main Street. There's always some dancing going on somewhere.
If you are a good DJ, you can be one here. You can host a party and do requests. They have a lot of cool deejays already, but the more the merrier in my favourite world!
Come and look me up when you get there! I am always your friendly Kenny Wordsmith there too!

Kenny: I had made a comment and lost it. Here I go again, hope its not a duplicate...
I was pleasantly surprised to see a notification that you wrote a hub, its been a while, and its nice to see you! :) I am not familiar with the 3D virtual community, sounds like fun. Will peek into the link you included in this hub.
Ah, I can look forward to meeting you there Gma! :)) Thank you very much. Now we won't miss each other as I go there almost everyday. My son is not a member still, LOL! He is oldfashioned that way and prefers regular chat.
See you there, my sweet friend! :)))
Violet! Yes, it's been a while, but now I decided to become active here again as before.
I'm glad you commented again; the other is probably lost in cyberspace.
Will be thrilled to 'meet' you there! :))
Great to see you back here again Kenny - so that's where you've been hiding - all that 3d fun - sounds like a cool place to escape to!
