Although a 4 man tent is designed to fit 4 people it would be a very tight squeeze and your camping gear would not be able to fit it the tent with you. Therefore a 4 man tent is in the most part used by 2 people giving them plenty of space for everything they need.

Sometimes people will go out buy a tent go camping once not enjoy it and never use the tent again. For this reason it is important to try and plan a camping trip that will enjoy before you leave. Consider any problems you may encounter and try and make sure you are well equipped to overcome the problem.

Have a look at the products available at the online tent stores and see if there is anything you may need on your trip. Visit a camping store and have a look around and talk to people who work there and see if they can offer you any advice on any essentials you may need.

While camping is a great outdoor activity to enjoy with your friends and family, it’s not for everyone. Do you really want to go camping with someone who doesn’t want to be there? The constant complaining about the heat, bugs, food, sleeping etc could ruin your trip.
If someone doesn’t want to go try and understand why and if you can provide a positive solution to any problems they have with going. If they still don’t want to go, leave them and go with people who want to go.

If going on a camping trip where 2 people will be sleeping in the same tent, one of the most popular types of tent is a 4 man dome tent. They come in numerous different configurations so you will need to find the right one for your 2 person group.
Dome tents are a very easy and quick type of tent to set up which is a big reason why people are buying them. It is great incentive knowing setting up your tent will be a quick and painless part of your trip. Check out this video of someone setting up a 4 man tent:

The dome tent has also got good stability in windy conditions, so you can rest a little easier knowing if you set it up the right way your tent won’t blow away. Ensuring the tent you’re buying is good in various weather conditions is very important, as from personal experience one minute the sun is out and the next you’re in a thunderstorm. And while you can check the weather reports before you go, they are not always right.

As well is being able to handle the weather outside the inside of your tent needs to suit whoever will be staying in it. A 4 man dome tent will usually have a good amount of space inside for 2 people to stay in. Check the tents specifications to ensure the biggest person of the group will fit in comfortably. You want to be able to stretch out when lying down without kicking the bottom of the tent. Also if you know that you toss and turn while sleeping then having a wide tent will be beneficial so you don’t roll into and kick the side of the tent

One thing that is recommended by a lot of people is the use of an air mattress. I know from personal experience that sleeping on an air mattress as opposed to the hard floor is a far better experience. You will get a better night’s sleep and feel a lot better for it in the morning, especially if you’ve had a long draining day filling with activities.

If you enjoy the outdoors then going on a camping trip is a great little holiday ensuring you are out in the fresh air. There are also many great outdoor activities to participate in and it can also be a great inexpensive experience.
If you are a family of 4 a 6 man tent or if you are a couple a 4 man tent will be much cheaper than paying to stay in a hotel or a bed and breakfast.
