4 Man Tent
61A 4 man tent is the perfect tent for a small family. It is a great size to fit a small family, however it is still small enough to be pretty mobile. You can get many different types of 4 man tents, and there are a lt of considerations you need to make before you buy them. There are family frame 4 man tents to start. These are the traditional style tent, and they use a frame support. They are quite stable, but are more for the less mobile campers. A family frame 4 man tent is not very easy to pick up, pack up and move around, so if you plan on going camping and staying in one place, then this is the perfect option for you. They also come in the dome tent style. These also have a frame, but a less sturdy one, and they are usually in the shape of rings, hence the name dome. A dome 4 man tent is another great option for families, as they are slightly easier to set up, and still very mobile. However they still provide good shelter against the conditions that you are likely to come across when camping.

4 Man Camping Tent
This is a popular style tent, one that is enjoyed by many families for
camping and for play use. A dome tent, can also be called a pop up
tent. These are similar to tunnel tents.
This is an even easier version of the popular style tent, and you will
have no problems setting it up, as it pops right up. They come in the 4
man tent style, however you will find that there seems to be a little
less room than in a family frame tent, this is simply because of the
shape of the roof as it curves around. This is an example of a 4 man dome tent, As you can see it is very easy to assemble, but it is also lightweight and mobile, and able to withstand weather conditions. It is evident that although it is 4 man, 4 men in here would be quite cramped, that is showing that the dome tents tend to have a little less space than the family style framed tents. A 4 man camping tent could be just the right thing for your family.

4 Man Tent: Setting Up
Setting up a 4 man tent can be an easy, or a difficult job. If you know what you are doing then it is much easier to do it when you are camping. So for your own sake, try it at home first, especially if you are a new cmaper or you have a new 4 man tent, you should try it in your backyard a few times until you have the hang of it, and then you will have no trouble when you get to the camping site. This is important because you never know what type of weather conditions you will get when you go camping, and it is much harder to set up a tent when you are under pretty bad, windy and rainy conditions. Save the stress and be able to set your tent up fast anywhere and anytime.
The time it takes to set up your tent greatly depends on what kind of 4 man tent you actually have. Take this into consideration before you go, as mentioned above a tent with a frame will simply take a lot longer to set up than a tent that is in the dome style, or pop up style. There are quite a few other considerations you need to make when you go to set up your 4 man tent. Firstly, take the instructions, even thought you will have practised setting it up and should be able to do it in the blink of an eye the bet is when you get there you will need your instructions, so pack them with you. You need to check the area, see if it is high enough, if it is on low ground or in a indentation then it is likely that you will get flooded if it rains. This is really bad and very easy to avoid, just make sure you set up on high enough ground. Get rid of all the tree branches and debris before you chuck your 4 man tent on top of it because this is what you are sleeping on! It cannot be comfortable to have all those things sticking into your back. You also need to check overhead to make sure that you don't have any trees with wayward branches there.
As you can see there are a lot of considerations you need to make when you are going to set up your 4 man tent, but as you do it a few more times you will find that it is much easier and you will become a pro. You and your family can enjoy the cmaping experience together, and you will find that it is one that is great for family time and relaxation, and it is also an outdoor recreation, getting your kids away from the computer and video games.

No matter what size tent you are talking about you should typically minus at least 1 from the number of people it says it holds, for example a 4 man tent will hold two people and all their gear, and pets, comfortably. But try sticking 4 people in there with their gear and you are in for a tight squeeze.
I'm seriously considering the Kelty Shiro 4 for a 4 man tent.

4 man tents are easy to set up and my spouse and I use one just so the dog can come in and we have room for gear inside.
