Continuing on with the martial arts entertainment hubs that I have been making here is my pick of the the 5 best short films which are based on, or at least include prominently, some element of martial arts. I have chosen a movie spoof, a comedy and a sexy teen fatasy film to include as well as straight up martial arts action fighting, so hopefuly you will find something that you like the look of. Enjoy!

 This is actually a comedy rather than an action film, but it does star a ninja so I figured that it came under the martial arts category, and its one of the better shorts available to watch for free on the internet so I thought I should include it. Basically it is about sharing a house with a ninja, and it is pretty funny as well as being well put together. It is just 5 min and 26 second long, so your not risking much of your precious time, and you can thank  indepent director Steven K. Tsuchida for putting it together and making it available for free online.

 I do enjoy watching a good spoof, and I've always thought that the short film is the perfect format for doing it because it can get a bit laboured in a full length feature film. This is most definitely an amateur production, which I found on YouTube, but it is also very funny. The name is obviously a take on the classic kung fu film '36 Chambers of Shaolin' - the one which inspired the Wu Tang Clan - but there are a rich variety of classic films which get referenced in the 9 minuted and 36 second of this spoof film.

 Picking out 5 short martial arts films to include I felt like I just had to include at least one based around a sexy female heroine, as these are so common (especially on the internet) that they have almost become a cliche. The story isn't anything amazing but the fight scenes are fairly good for this kind of thing and for the teenage boys, who are probably the biggest fans of these films, the sexy female heroine of this piece is constantly flashing her knickers as she goes for the high kicks.

 At just over 10 minutes this film made jointly by the directors Darren Biggs, Adrian Sotomayor is one of the longer offering that I have included. It's more of a hardcore action thriller - more of a martial arts movie specifically - than the first 3 as well. It does also include a reasonable amount of special effects, although they are done in a way that makes you think of a student that's got over-excited about the new things that they have learned.

 Pretty much the entire plot of this 7 and three quarter minute film is contained in the one word title. You guessed it, it's about an argument between a man and a women which escalates into a full blown episode of domestic violence with chairs and other furniture being thrown at each other and kitchen utensils being used as improvised weapons. It's a little bit tongue in cheek and humorous, especially when it comes to some of the things which get drawn in to use as weapons, but there is also some great action, especially from the women who really kicks ass.
