2) “The Millionaire Next Door” by Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko
This book is really amazing. If you have read a financial book before and you got bored on the first page, then you are in for a surprise. This book really reads more like a novel leave alone a financial book. You want to keep turning the pages and find out what to do next. The main and very important message from these authors is the outlines on how an ordinary “John Doe” person can accumulate wealth by being discipline. The authors also make it clear that you don’t have to be making 6 figures to be a millionaire.
The books give detail information on who these people are, where they live, what they drive, what they wear, what they do, what they buy. It was a surprise to me personally and since I read this book, my mind set has changed completely and my finances are in better shape. Yes I am not a millionaire next door yet and I don’t act like one but I am working on getting there in my lifetime.
Note author, Thomas Stanley just came up with another book title “ stop acting rich and Start living like a real millionaire”. Just in case you want to read the latest book.

3) “The Automatic Millionaire” by David Bach.
This book has been in the market for a while, but it has very clear message on it, that is how to make your finances hassle free. I started reading Mr. Bach books sometime a few years ago. But this one tops the list. This books is very simple to read, with the automatic millionaire, budget is has been thrown away. This guy believe putting yourself in budget is waste of time because you will get tired doing it and will go back to your bad habits. Instead he says setting everything to be done automatically for you is a better way to go, hence automatic millionaire. He known for his words “Latte Factor”, and that once you control your “latte Factor” you will be in a better place financially.
The author outlines exactly what you need to do to save money. He gives example on how and what to do to assist you in the financial journey. This is a long time financial journey; so don’t expect one of those get rich schemes. You have to work on it for sometime.
4) “Good Debt, Bad Debt” by Jon Hanson.
This book is very interesting very simple to read. It has straightforward information on how an individual can handle finances. Mr. Hanson adds little humor at the beginning of the chapter, and summarizes at the end of each chapter. Very well written and he keeps the reading feel more like entertainment. The advice given on this book is very practical, and beneficial. The book outlines ways to avoid getting yourself in big debt and how to get out of it. Just like Mr. Bach, Hanson also the teaches the long-term about benefits to consumer not over spending and showing off. He talks about the importance of not living in a state of “instant gratification”
5) “Get Clark Smart: The Ultimate Guide to Getting Rich From America’s Money-Saving Expert” by Clark Howard
Clark’s motto is “get smart and stop getting ripped off” something to that effect. This book basically outlines a lot of on where the best places to buy things like insurance, save money, buy cars, and how to avoid getting ripped off by others. The book also offers many web addresses for things like travel discounts. Overall, the book is very informative and easy to read kind of book. A lot of the things are really very basic and common sense but not everyone is there yet financial, that is why sometimes we need just a little push. Now if your finances are already in good shape, you might wants to skip this one.
