5 Sayings to change your Life

Carpe diem- Seize the day.
A phrase that I am sure almost everyone has heard.
As an idea I think many would agree with it's sentiment. However if followed over time most of us would more than likely wind up unemployed and/or homeless.
In fact the complete phrase Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero which translates to seize the day and place no trust in tomorrow captures the sentiment of the time. Life is short.
Live your Life on Purpose
If you do have hope of a tomorrow than a better motto to incorporate into your life might be to live life with purpose.
While it is not practical to always live life like there is no tomorrow you can and should live your life with and on purpose. The gift of life is yours. You alone are responsible for the quality of it.
Life is about the decisions you make - choose wisely.
Do not waste energy and time on regrets Learn what you can from less than positive experiences and move forward.
Every now and again you should live with abandon for tomorrow (in a safe way that doesn't hurt others)
Wake up on Monday and ask yourself if I didn't have to work today I would do X - Then do that this weekend or clear your schedule and take a day off.
Just make sure X is not Laundry or some other menial task
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
One of the times of greatest periods of growth in my life was when I felt empowered to create change in my life.
It started out small. I was taking guitar lessons at the time and I was complaining about something I didn't like in my playing.
My teacher at the time flatly said back "Change it" At first I wasn't sure what he meant. Why did he think I was taking lessons I was working towards changing it. Seeing the expression on my face he said either change it, accept it, or forget it. We then preceded to break down what I didn't like and examine how to fix it. I worked hard and within a few weeks I was playing from memory a handful of Charlie Parker tunes something that I had not been able to achieve in the previous 2 years.
This became a springboard to make other life changes i.e. Job, relationship, residence.
Don't put off to tomorrow what you can do today:
If motivation and empowerment are the tools for growth then complacence and procrastination are it's enemies.
Procrastination is something many people don't like about themselves. I am forever putting off things until the last minute.
I think the way around this is to look at whatever you are procrastinating about and break it down into smaller more manageble steps. Then take that first step.
Ask yourself Why not You? Why not now?
There is an anonymous saying that goes like this:
Each Morning he would stack up the letters he would write...tomorrow. And think of the friends he'd fill with delight...tomorrow.
It was too bad indeed; he was busy today and hadn't a minute to stop on his way. "More time I will give to others," he would say...tomorrow.
But the fact is he died and faded from view and all that he left when the living was through was a mountain of things he intended to do...tomorrow.
Half of life is showing up.
For me if I can get to the gym, out on my bike, or to an event, the rest seems to fall in place.
I think this one is related to procrastination showing up is often the first step.
Show up and remember - This is not a dress rehearsal you only get one take

My 2 cents worth:
Well, I always have told my children that:
Life is a Learning and Growing Experience it is not meant to be easy
And one of my favorites is a quote the TV show Boy Meets World:
"Life's tough little bro... get a helmet!"
Thanks Judith Love the Quote made me laugh
In Life it's important to keep these straight
The way you want things to be
The way things should be
The way things are

Life is short, I try to live mine without regard for yesterday or tomorrow....sometimes not even for today! Great info.
