3.Adding a new theme.

There are numerous themes available that can be downloaded for your wordpress installation. To add anew theme you should follow this steps:

-Download the theme archive and extract the files it contains. If need be preserve the directory structure when extracting these files. The guidelines provided by the theme creator should be strictly adhered to.

-Use an FT client to access your host web server to create a directory to contain your theme in the upcontent provided by the Wordpress.

-The next step should be to upload the theme files to the new directory on your web server.
Adding new themes in cPanel.

If your host uses the cPanel configuration then you should follow the steps below. The assumption is that the theme to be downloaded is a compressed file:

-Download the theme zip file to your local machine.

-In the cPanel file manager, navigate to the themes folder.

-After you have navigated to the themes folder in cPanel File manager click the upload file(s) and upload the zip file you saved in procedure 1.

-After the zip file has been uploaded click the zip file name in the cPanel and then in the panel to the right click on extract file contents and the zip file will be uncompressed.

To select an active theme:

-Log in to the Wordpress administration panel.

-Select the appearance panel and then themes.

-From the available themes section, click on the theme title for the theme that you want to activate.

-A preview of the theme will be shown .To activate the theme click on the Activate ‘Theme Name’ link in the top right.
