Todays Morning Back Workout
So today I got up around 5:30ish and decided to go to the gym and do back. I had prior arrangements that I need to take care of later tonight, so why not? I put a scoop of NO Shotgun into my shaker bottle with some water and sipped on that on the way to the gym.
As I got to the gym I felt alert and up for the task of working-out in the morning. There was hardly anyone there and so I had a wide choice to choose from. I decided to super set rows with lat pull downs. First super set I combined close grip rows with close grip lat pull downs. After doing about six sets of that I did bent over rows with hammer lat pull downs. I ended up doing about four sets of that. Once I was done with all these sets I felt that I had a good enough pump in my back so I decided to superset shrugs. I did basic shrugs with a superset of hammer strength shrugs, only doing about four sets of that. I soon realized that time was running out and I needed to finish up in the gym, so I finished with four sets of wide grip straight bar curls.
After the workout I took some BCAA’s, Arginine and Orthinine. This helped sustain my pump and allowed me to keep some size going into work. Since that point I’ve eaten a bowl of grape nuts and had 20g protein shake and an apple.
Overall it was a great workout and I enjoyed the muscle pump early in the morning. I think I might start doing this more often. The only problem was not having enough protein in my system for muscle energy. I think I might take Monster Milk, Kre-Alkalyn, and Caffeine pills if I do this again. I’ll keep you posted on what I decide.
