A distraught Kimberley Vlaeminck speaks on her mobile phone at home in Belgium today - the 56 tattoos still healing across her face

Kimberley Vlaminck,  a teenage girl who claimed 56 stars were tattooed on her face as she slept when she asked for three has admitted she was awake the whole time – and lied because her father was "furious".

Rouslan Toumaniantz, Franco-Russian body artist, who runs the tattoo parlour called The Tattoo Box in Courtrai, said that he wants to stump up for the laser operation to reverse his handiwork on Kimberly Vlamink's face. He has now offered to meet the operation cost.

The Belgium girl has threatened to sue Toumaniantz for 10,000 Euros after claiming that during the procedure she fell asleep and 53 extra stars were tattooed on her face against her will.

In Belgium, it is mandatory for tattoo artists to have the customer sign a document in which the tattoo is described. Other tattooists are ticked off by the methods of their colleague. Kimberley does not want to show her face in public and wants to have the tattoos removed.

seems like there is more than one person to blame for this disaster. Who would do that to a person?

You can fall asleep while getting a tattoo, I have quite a few, and the larger ones that take a while its easy to fall asleep during. But then again i dont think they hurt all that much either, but on your face i have no idea, i dont really see why you would want to do that to yourself it just seems bloody ignorant to me...
