As many of you are aware, today is my birthday. The day I add on one year to the age I was yesterday.

Add 10. I'm now turning 37 due to the amount of ice on the roads this morning. I did learn my knuckles can turn even whiter than they normally appear, and I can hold my breath for 3 minutes straight.

The good news is, as usual, I was able to extend my birthday celebration from just one day all the way to the weekend before the official day. And it looks like we might go to Spokane this weekend. If that's the case I will also consider the trip to the big city a celebration of me. And, thanks to Martin Luther, I get a three day weekend. WSU is closed on Monday! Booyah!

Friday, Trent and I went to dinner and a movie. We saw Juno; it was good. Saturday, Trent and I went to Moscow where TRENT GOT ME A VACUUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There MIGHT be some of you reading this thinking, 'hmm… is Karen trying to be funny or is she actually that excited about a vacuum as a birthday present?' It's the real deal folks. I'm THAT excited. Suck your heart out Hoover. Momma got a Dyson. It's amazing.
