I'm not at all against supplements, but some fat burning supplements are unhealthy.  For example, most fat burning supplements like Nutrex Lipo 6 contain synephrine which is a synthetic form of ephedrine.   1. 1. First, to increase your metabolism, you need to eat 5 - 6 smaller meals a day. Each meal will be a healthy mix of carbs and protein. I would suggest eating a variety of fruits and vegetables for your carbs. I would also suggest eating meats that are low in fat. such as, chicken breast (grilled or baked), turkey, and tuna.
  2. Cardio workouts are a must if you are looking to burn fat. , I would suggest starting out with 20 - 30 minutes of cardio 4 - 5 days a week. I personally jog 25 minutes on the treadmill about 4 times a week. Your cardio routine could involve running, fast walking, or just about anything that gets your heart rate up and forces you to breath more. To make things fun, you could even play active sports like basketball to get your cardio in.

Your body burns through your carb stores while you sleep. First thing in the morning, your body is ready to burn fat.
