7 Essential Vitamins for Ladies Today
We are going to introduce seven vitamins necessary for the health and beauty of ladies. These vitamins are real “close friends” of ladies. I hope you’ll grasp your time to take a look into them seriously.
(1) Vitamin A. It is an antioxidant and it protects your blood vessels. It also regulates your vision. Nyctalopia or Night blindness may exist from birth, or be caused by injury or malnutrition (for example, a lack of vitamin A). Vitamin A is said to play important role in the maintenance of healthy eyes from becoming dry eyes. What food you can find ampful amount of Vitamin A? You find Vitamin A in animal liver, milk products, cod liver oil, egg, carrots. Vitamin A has a longer half life, therefore, overdose is not recommended to avoid Vitamin A toxication. Especially ladies taking contraceptives should take less Vitamin A to avoid interaction.
(2) Vitamin C combats fatigue, boosts your immune status and heals the wound. Vitamin C prevents gingivitis, flu and bleeding. You find a lot of vitamin C in fresh vegetables such as broccoli, peppers, and fresh fruits, such as oranges, hawthorn etc. It is suggested to better take Vitamin C from natural sources than from synthesized preparations.
(3) Vitamin D mainly regulates the balance of calcium in your body. It also balances the absorption of calcium and phosphorus so as to build up your bone properly. Lack of Vitamin D will make you perspire more frequent and make your bone more softened. Cod liver oil, sardine, salmon, eggs, and milk contain more Vitamin D. Your body will actually make Vitamin D if you often stay under sunlight.
(4) Vitamin E is a strong antioxidant. It is anti-aging and it protects your blood vessels. Lack of Vitamin E makes you tired and you also experience dry skin and pain during your period. You obtain Vitamin E in peanut oil, and sesame oil. Ladies in their period of taking oral contraceptives, being pregnant or under menopause should take more Vitamin E.
(5) Vitamin K stops bleeding and coagulation mechanism. Lack of Vitamin K will give you coagulation problems. Overdose of Vitamin K will damage your liver too.
(6) Vitamin B refers to a single name as a group of Vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12 etc. We usually call them B complex.
B1 controls neurotransmission and energy metabolism. Lack of B1 will mess up your digestion. Deficiency causes Beriberi, weakness and pain in the limbs, periods of irregular heartbeat and edema (swelling of body tissues). Cereals, beans, and animal livers consist of a lot of B1. You should take more raw cereals than synthesized preparations.
B2 is necessary for the metabolism of your skin, your muscle, and your nerves. Lack of B2 will establish more bad breath, headache, and insomnia. Most meat (fish, poultry meat), eggs, and milk provide your daily supply. Deficiency causes pellagra. Symptoms may include cracks in the lips, high sensitivity to sunlight, inflammation of the tongue, particularly affecting the labia major and the mouth. B2 is especially good for ladies suffering from stress and depression.
B6 functions to modulate your immunity and is anti-aging. Lack of B6 leads to muscle clamps and vomiting. Fish, beef, pork, and beans give you large amount of B6. Take more B6 if you are a TB patient under treatment and ladies taking oral contraceptives.
B12 boosts up your memories and prevent you from anemia. It helps your body pick up more oxygen. Lack of B12 leads to anemia, vomiting, diarrhea, and loss of appetite. All animal products provide you large amount of B12. That is why vegetarians are tending to suffer from anemia.
