Making money online has become a trend and is growing daily. Lets see , is anyone really making money out of blogging ? The question is obviously yes . Bloggers such as ProBlogger or ShoeMoney (and there are lots more) are making way more money than a regular employee. 5 Figure blogging is possible, if you will be treating your blog like you would treat any other business.

People wonder why they are not making serious money with their blogs. My own blog hasn`t got much time since it`s started but for now there is a decent traffic and I am not looking for a lot of advertising yet as this is not my priority. I run two other blogs that I spent a lot of time putting them up , promoting and adding fresh daily content. Here are some of the reasons why I think people fail blogging.

1. Be More Realistic

More and more blogs are started everyday , and as far as I have seen all of them are rushing to place as many ads as possible , in every little corner of their blog. Let`s see if you are looking to make 1000$ a month from adsense , and just started your blog , you should think more about gaining more traffic first. You must set realistic goals that go with your blog's gradual growth. There are lots of bloggers that I would say "They really teach you how to Blog" , apart from making money with your blog which is a very different subject.

2. Writing Useless Content

Your blog`s traffic will only increase when you write good content. Gaining some constant readers , or getting reviewed by other bloggers in your niche means you have to be original by all means. You will have to know a lot of the niche your are choosing to write about. Lets say you are going to write about "Food Recipes". Have you got any experience at all ? Are you actually able to share some interesting information about food recipes? Are you going to enjoy doing this? If the answer is yer, then you will be doing just fine.

3. Not promoting Your Blog Enough

A quite delicate subject "Traffic" , when it comes to blogging. Traffic seems to be one of the hardest tasks among writing content , promoting or affiliate marketing and so on. When starting a blog , no one wants to spend hundreds of dollars on advertising , very expensive templates etc. Any one is free to use Free Traffic Generators Services: Such as Entrecard or Site Hoppin. These sites work pretty well for me and I am sure will do for anyone. We don`t want to be spending 500$ a month on Google Adwords or any other advertising programs , at least not when just starting up.

4. Advertising Too Early

In the first few months of your blogging activity, advertising should be the last thing you think about. Concentrate more on your traffic and provide good quality content. Do some research on which advertising programs , affiliate networks will work better for you.

5. Not Buying a Domain

There are lots of free blogging services such as Blogger or Wordpress but nothing compares to owning your own domain. I am not saying that Blogger wouldn`t be the right place for anyone to start blogging but you just not have the same control and features , that owning a domain and setting up a Wordpress blog will offer. Lets see , when does a real business start to make money in the real world ? When they rent a 50 square office nobody knows where or when they get all the exposure by owning their building in the middle of a large city?

6. Giving Up

Many bloggers just give up for various reasons. They just not take it seriously and not working enough for better results. One thing is for sure , new blogs can`t earn money , let some moths go by , add content daily , do some promoting and let your blog grow each day. Let your blog get the maximum exposure.
