do you remember the little cartoon of them on Saturday mornings when they were in the height of popularity? I do. :)

also, the carpenters. it's one of those bands people slag you for liking (like Barry Manilow) but I did so love them.

the B.J. Thomas "raindrops" was featured in "butch cassidy and the sundance kid" with paul newman and robert redford. it was the bicycle scene.

your hubs make for reminding me of the best of childhood. :)

Thanks so much, Lounn. I do remember the 70s Jackson 5 cartoons. I used to watch them.

And I agree about The Carpenters. Karen Carpenter's voice is so pure. And many of The Carpenters songs had a haunting sort of quality. Karen's shocking death only adds to that now.

I didn't know that about Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head. Do you know that I've never watched Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid? Shame on me.

I am having so much fun doing these 70s Songs Hubs. They are bringing back memories for me as well. I hope they bring some joy and fun memories to others that were kids in the 70s.

The bicycle scene in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance (and the Raindrops song) is the most memorable part of the movie, apart from the scene where they both jumped off the cliff together!

Thanks for a very interesting hub.
