Wilderness survival

If you are going to be in a place that you could get lost or stranded, you need to be prepared for the worst.  You need to have a 72 hour survival kit with you at all times. Being in the wilderness is very peaceful and beautiful. Spending time in wild places is something that everyone should experience. The problem with being in wild places is, sometimes something can go wrong and you get lost, or stranded. When that happens, it may be several days before you are found, or find your way out. In a survival situation, the right gear can mean the difference between surviving and not surviving.   Any time you are putting yourself in a situation where something could go wrong, you must be prepared with a 72 hour survival kit. A survival supply list is in the article below.

Why have the 72 hour survival kit

This is a survival kit that you should carry in your car if you are going to be driving into an area that you could get stranded. If you are back packing you should have all these things in your kit and enough to last 3 days longer than your planned trip. The reason for the 72 hours is that most people who are lost are found within the 72 hour window. If you are prepared, you will be fine. If not prepared, you could die. This kit is for 2 people. These are the minimum things you would need to survive and not be extremely uncomfortable.
