Thank you for this hub article, prasetio30.

Every discovery you have highlighted is amazing. The Declaration of Independence of the USA wins my vote as far as "roots" are concerned.

At the same time, I saw the Martin Johnson Heade painting and the gentleman who "discovered" it during a cable presentation of "Antique Roadway" a number of years ago. For shear beauty, Heade's painting gets my vote, hands down. Heade captures light like no other painter and, as a result, the objects he painted appear very, very real.

For example, look at the cloth on the table in that painting. You can practically reach out and touch it. The flower stem to the right can practically be picked up; the soft feeling the flowers manifest compels one to imagine running a finger gently across one of the velvet-like petals; the perfume of the flowers can be so well imagine as to be "upon the air".

Take a good, long look at that painting with the foregoing imagery in mind, then scroll up to the painting above it. Take that painting in for about 30 seconds, then scroll down to Heade's again.

As stated, Heade captured light like no other painter but, he also caught just the right darkness too.

This is a fantastic hub article, prasetio 30!
