Shock and awe in Chicago. The Public is "horrified" and the US Attorney feigns his shock at the so-called "pay to play" scheme that his office is alleging to Governor Blagojevich, with the atempted auction of Obama's vacant Senatorial seat.

However, let's step back a little from all of this. Does it make sense to arrest the Governor at his home at 6 AM, as if he were a fugitive? A simple phone call to te Governor's attorney would have sufficed, given that he was later released on a paltry $4500 bail

Secondly, since the US Attorney's office in Chicago has been collecting the "memoirs" of jailed Tony Rezko, this seems like a smoking gun to take away our attention from the possible felonious track record of other notable Chicagoans. Tony Rezko, you will remember, was the campaign bundler, friend and agent for the purchase of Obama's 165 million dollar mansion.

Now, without a trial and with a total abrogation of "innocent until proven guilty", everyone from Barack Obama to Illinois AG Lisa Madigan is calling for Blagojevich's resignation. Now, I know little about the Governor, except that he has a lower popularity rating than GWB, which is an outstanding under-acheiement. Oh, I guess that's just a little Constitutional issue, one that Mr. Obama feels will need changing in an activist judiciary.

Let's get back to US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, the "Sherlock Holmes" here. Now, I know when I play detective, when there is a "conspiracy", it means exactly that. And yet, the stunning thing about this case is that Fitzpatrick has not mentioned a single other party, except to list them as candidates "1","2","3","4", and "5". But, if there was an attempt to bribe the Governor, why are the others not being arrested and charged? It takes two to tango.

Now, let's look to a theory proposed by Andy Martin, J.D. ,and that is that when a certain party couldn't get the candidate he/she wanted, they tipped off their "mole" inside the US Attorney's office to initiate a "coup" of the Governor's office and replace him with someone more compliant with their objective. One of the leading contenders for the "vacant seat" was Valerie Jarrett, Obama's close friend and advisor. However, quite suspiciously, she simply withdrew her name from consideration the night before the Governor was arrested.

Did she have a tip? You betcha. I also noticed that the reference that I quoted in a previous article by Carol Somers of channel 7 News, has disappeared. She had reported that Obama had met with Blagojevich on November 5th about replacing his seat. Brit Humes is reporting that change.gov has been rejecting any inquiries about Obama's or Rahm Emmanuel's conversation witht he Governor. Just a little taste of what life will be under Herr Obama after January 20th.

I might suggest to US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald that he recuse himself form this matter altogether, as it seems his continuation in that office is now dependent on the wishes of Mr. Obama, who has indicated that he will keep him.

Another theory is that is that Lisa Madigan, who is the daughter of Illinois House speaker Michael Madigan, and probably 2010 gubernatorial candidate herself, wants him out of the Public eye as quickly as possible, as she wouldn’t want anymore scandalous Chicago antics coming out, according to Gateway Pundit According to Chicago insiders, they don't want a Blagojevich impeachment hearing, because he would be able to talk about all the dirty laundry in Chicago.

By the way, Blago's official response to pleas for him to resign is that "he should have the same rights as Gitmo detainees..."
