I think the idea is something that comes in the thoughts of all Newbie computer users. I mean, there's no way you can miss everything from the mountain itself where proclaimed "Gurus" are selling you get-rich-quick plans and programs! Yet the people who started doing this are just like you and have made a good life on the Internet.

I know that the constant attack of ads and any new technology can make you feel intimidated, some of it is still intimidates me! That is why I decided to write this article and makes it a bit easier for a Newbie to understand the basics of Internet Marketing.

Follow me as I have a tour.

The first thing you should do is the following:

Do not buy everything! The previous sentence is so important because the pressure to buy all the assorted plans and programs because it looks so great. But look at it this way:

Because you just got here, how in the world are you to know what to buy for your first step on the net marketing?

Give yourself some time to get acquainted with the Web, join many of the good forums and newsletters available. Discuss the issues that will help elevate your general knowledge on the Web and Internet Marketing, in particular. After a few months after things started to sink in and you are purely Internet savvy!

Although while you are gaining your experience there on the forums, keep these questions twirling around in your mind:

What kind of Internet business would me happy?

What activity I have seen on the Web that I would like to have or a part of?

Think about it for as long as what is needed and started with a general business vision or inspiration. Do not think you need to fully understand the small details of data from the technology. All you need is a guiding vision and that will keep you through the good and bad times.

Once you feel on an equal footing with many of the concepts discussed at the forums and you start itching to jump in with both guns blazing, but before you do, you need to hear me out on these very fundamental issues:

1 - You visit your own website! Do not get a free website, because you want to make your own identity. Moreover, they have no services for a real business website. This point is very important because your website is not only a container that holds products you sell. Your website is your first product!

I highly recommend getting a webhosting package that has everything you need to get started, including a website builder and domain name. It is far easier to start off this way, trust me! One of the best I’ve came across so far is InMotionHosting as their customer service is the best I’ve seen so far and not to forget very reasonably priced, it is definitely worth having a look at.

2 - What you really need to supplement your website is:

---- CONTENT! -----

It is for the most part with the written word in conjunction with images and audio. You're going to do a lot. The source of content ideas is limited only by your imagination.

3 - OK, you have a Web site full of content, how do you let the rest of the Web know you open for business? Answer: promotion! You have to live with the constant idea of promoting your website. This is usually done through a letter. Post articles on the forums with a link in your resource box. Add your site to search engines and directories. Write small informative booklets with links to your website and give them away for free (VAT, which is called "viral marketing")

Hot Tip: If you have a username on the forum, using the name of your business!

In conclusion, I have to say the number of ideas in this article is only a couple to let you know your own Web business is a viable idea! The ways in which to get visitors to your site are limitless. If you have a vision stay focused and your determination will ensure that you succeed in Web Marketing.

Good luck!
