Christmas for kids for a 5 yr old it’s usually about what Santa will bring them.

What mom and dad will put under the tree .

What THEY want from  Santa .They really know nothing of the real meaning of Christmas , the real meaning of Christmas is giving Love to the ones that you Love and who Love you .

The real meaning of Christmas is Jesus ‘ birth . The birth of a child sent to this world to save our souls .

A child born only to die for us a child who’s life would shape the world .

Today I went to my friends home for coffee and to take her to the store so she could do her Thanksgiving shopping , a single mother of 3 boys a woman who is / has been evicted not cus her rent was not paid, in fact her rent is paid till March 1,2010 . Evicted because   of her children her mixed children and very racist neighbors.

Her 5 yr old son gets home from school at 11:00 at noon I went to her house , to find her son a boy who’s in 5 yrs yet to not have a very bright smile on his face .  A very incredibly beautiful little boy with a heart and smile as big as the big blue sky.

He was making presents to go under the tree. She has put up their tree already, started decorating cus come Dec,31 2009 she will have to move !

But Peanut was making presents for his family, 1 box of crayons, 1 pad of notebook paper and 1   roll of scotch tape.

He was coloring paper, making pictures and wrapping up the pictures in the  paper he had colored , for his brothers, mom Santa and for myself.

I asked him what he was doing he said

" I am making presents  for everyone , mom has no money to buy anything this year so I am making things for everyone so everyone has a present  ."

I reached into my purse, I felt  bad cus I only had 1 single , but I gave Peanut that single and would you believe what this soft sweet little angel did ?

He started to wrap up the dollar !

He asked his mom to write Santa’s name on it , he wanted to give that dollar to Santa because he buys all the children presents for Christmas , he thought Santa might be able to use that dollar

As I write this my eyes fill with tears. In all my years I have never seen a any child care  that much.

My friend had created a blog page, hoping for a Christmas miracle, but as she had said the miracle she gets the pleasure to watch grow, smile and just gets to live her life knowing that she has the sweetest little boy there is

The miracle is the love that she has shown to her children, broke penniless almost homeless  and barely buying her Thanksgiving dinner with the last of her food stamps.

A woman who has taught her children the true meaning of Christmas.
