A Camping Checklist
57
Have you ever gone camping and forgot to bring something with you? I have way too many times. To prevent that in the future it is a good idea to make a camping checklist.
One of the most important things you would want to take with you camping is a first aid kit. Bandages, antiseptic and guaze are a must have. You can purchase ready made kits that contain these items and more or you can make your own.
You want to make sure you pack a good all purpose knife and a good non-stick frying pan. Knives, forks, spoons are essential utensils. I have both plastic utensils and a set of old utensils that I keep right in my camper.
For women, sanitary napkins are a good idea to pack, just in case. If you are anything like me, your periods come whenever they feel like it and unforunately it is usually when I decide to go caming that it comes.
A warm sweater, hoodie or warm jacket is a must. I also take a pair of long underwear with me and some tshirts I can use as undershirts. Bring plenty of socks with you because there is nothing worse than having wet feet. An extra pair of shoes would be a good idea too.
Bring plenty of ice to keep your food cold. I usually take a block of ice because it stays frozen longer that the cubes. Another thing I do is take a few empty pop bottles, rinse them out good and then fill them up with water and put them in your freezer. They will be frozen solid in no time at all. This way too, when the ice thaws in the bottle, you will have extra water just in case you need it. You will also want to make sure you take good drinking water with you. You can purchase bottles of water or fill up a water jug with water and take that with you.
Having a camping checklist will make a more relaxed camping trip and a more relaxed camping trip will mean more fun.

Camping Supplies, thank you for your comment. I love camping but unfortunately with back problems didn't get the chance to camp much this year.

Very good tips, and it's nice to get the female input as well. I am glad other women are pointing out helpful information so they can both share and learn from the entire camping community. I especially think it is vital to be prepared in the most thorough way.
Thanks,
