A Checker Sedan Frequent Rider
51How Do I Become A Checker Sedan Frequent Rider?
Rank may have its privileges, but so does frequency. Checker Sedan, the official curbside luxury sedan provider for Detroit Metro Airport, has parlayed the power of the Internet to not only make reserving a luxury sedan easy, it also rewards it free riders. Frequent Flyers can become Frequent Riders at Checker Sedan's online Transportation Order Portals (TOP) reservation system. Your Frequent Rider Identification (FRID) number allows our order system to recognize you and pre-populate your order screen with information common to all orders enabling you to input reservations in under 60 seconds! Gone are the days of that dreadful recording: "... 5 minutes on hold for the next available operator..." common to many call centers.
To set-up your FRID, just follow these quick and easy steps when making your next reservation:
1. Click on one of the blue buttons in the upper left corner of the CheckerSedan home page.
2. Select a one-way or round-trip button depending on the first leg of your trip either a departure TO the airport or an arrival FROM the airport.
3. Follow the prompts and complete each field requested through the next three screens.
4. On the Reservation Confirmation screen just below the summary grid in the paragraph entitled 'Are you a Frequent Rider?', click on the 'Click here' link.
5. In the pop-up window, complete the remainder of information not already showing, including a 6-digit password. Click 'Submit.' You will instantly receive an email with your FRID number and password for safekeeping.
6. Whenever you make a reservation from now on, you will always begin your session by entering your FRID in the box at the bottom and click the 'GO' button. Enter your password and click 'Submit.' The screen will refresh to the beginning and welcome you personally. Now enter your reservation by selecting a one-way or round-trip button and you're good to go!
Feel free to get creative with FRIDs like some of our corporate clients have:
- If you order airport rides for others, all on one credit card, create a FRID or Frequent 'User ID' number with your name and your company's credit card. Then simply delete your name on the payment page and enter the travelers' names. (This will become even more special to you once we add the award points and rewards program to our system!)
- If you plan travel for a number of people who all have different credit cards, you should make FRIDs for each of them. Keep these listed on a sticky note along with their passwords and the credit card verification numbers, which, under federal privacy law, cannot be stored or pre-populated.
- If the boss wants to travel on the American Express Platinum card but requires the sales staff or clients to travel on the company Visa card, create two FRIDs - one for each credit card!
- If your FRID at work is associated to your company's credit card, create a FRID with your personal credit card for use on your home computer. The one thing that can kill those wonderful memories of the family vacation is that long drive home from Metro Airport with jetlag.
For assistance with FRIDs, contact our Online Reservations Help Desk at 313-963-1000 x246, Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, ET.
