A cow tax.

This has been proposed by the Enviromental Protection Agency in its Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking as a way to "regulate greenhouse gas emissions" under the Clean Air Act.

The environment.. you know.

So you think this is crazy maybe??? Maybe you thing this is some joke flying around the internet? It sounds like it should be just that.. doesn't it... but it isn't. It is very real .. and those proposing it will make sure it happens.

You can read this rule .. HERE.

This rule ...

....."would give the EPA the authority to regulate greenhouse gas for not only greenhouse gas from manmade sources like transportation and industry, but also “stationary” sources which would include livestock."

If this rule should be put in place .. it most likely would cost the dairy industry in New York alone would be $110 million.

The taxes would be $175/cow . $85/ beef cattle and $20+/hog .. with any operation of more than 25 cows, 50 beef cattle or 200 hogs would be affected.

Can you imagine how many farms would be affected negatively by this.... to the point of being put out of business?

Of course.. this is to "protect our environment ".. of course.

Here is a warning to the EPA from the Department of Agriculture....

“If GHG emissions from agricultural sources are regulated under the CAA, numerous farming operations that currently are not subject to the costly and time-consuming Title V permitting process would, for the first time, become covered entities. Even very small agricultural operations would meet a 100-tons-per-year emissions threshold. For example, dairy facilities with over 25 cows, beef cattle operations of over 50 cattle, swine operations with over 200 hogs, and farms with over 500 acres of corn may need to get a Title V permit. It is neither efficient nor practical to require permitting and reporting of GHG emissions from farms of this size. Excluding only the 200,000 largest commercial farms, our agricultural landscape is comprised of 1.9 million farms with an average value of production of $25,589 on 271 acres. These operations simply could not bear the regulatory compliance costs that would be involved.”

If you think this could never go into effect... consider this.

Those people running child daycare "in home" facilities in Michigan are now members of the UAW .. that is the UNITED AUTO WORKERS ...union.

How did that happen?

All legally of course... in a way that made it a sure thing... in a way that made it impossible to be stopped.

Now that union .. with the help of a new "office" in the state government of paid workers ... is collecting "dues" from every "member" through a deduction from the check each facility gets from the state for watching children from state subsidized families.

How are those new state employees being paid?

Certainly not with the "dues" monies being collected for the UAW.

A facility who had a child from a state subsidized family in daycare full time was allowed to claim 50 hours/week ffor which the state paid a set sum/hr with the families making up the difference.

With the advance of the UAW.. in an AGREEMENT with them... the state changed that allowance to 45 hrs/week/fulltime child .. and "raised" the "pay" by $.05/hr.... allowing the UAW to come in and say they "negotiated" a "raise" for all in home daycare facilities.

That "raise" cost each facitlity $15/child/ week from the state in subsidized pay.

The UAW and the state of Michigan are making $15/week/ every fulltime child enrolled in a Michigan "in home" daycare. The amount of money they are collecting is astronomical.

I wonder how they are splitting it?

Remember .. this is tax payer's money that was being used to help unfortunate.. hard working families with child care costs.. now going into the pockets of the state and UAW together.

Anyhow.. if you really think the "cow tax" cannot possibly become real... think again.

Global warming .. now global "change".. has been carefully and diligently put before the people with all its "fears" and "horrible consequences" for one reason only .. and that is not to "protect our environment".

It is to give those in our government a great excuse to collect taxes .. without even having to get our apporval.

When it comes to making money ... our governments can do .. and do do.. anything they choose.

Whatever happened to "taxation without representation"?

A cow tax indeed.
