ONE DAY IN HER SHOES
56JUST ONE DAY
A POEM
A DAY IN HER SHOES...unlike that of most would make a man's man drop and shake his head from side to side
A DAY IN HER SHOES...is more than most could bear, unimaginable in one's worst nightmare
A DAY IN HER SHOES...is making her way to the bus stop to do what must be done, when every single step brings her closer and closer to tears
A DAY IN HER SHOES...means wondering if she will have the money to pay the rent
A DAY IN HER SHOES...is having to count the pills in her prescription bottles and hoping she can afford to get it filled
A DAY IN HER SHOES...is being told her unemployment claim is on hold and she would be getting a letter
A DAY IN HER SHOES...no one should ever have to walk in.

Thank You so much...for stopping by.Those words were a true scenario
Great poem
Thanks alot for the kudos on my poem. It was inspired by actual events happening in the here and now
This is a great poem but sad. I have a friend and she seems to be heading that way. She is a great person who is always there for people but now she can only be there for her son and self. She is by herself with no help. I guess thats the part about life she needed to know.
