Lord of the Rings was one of the first books I read completely. It was around seventy-nine when I read it for the first time,I have read it every other year since.Middle earth became alive and my mind,it was the way life should be full of meaning Hobbit, Elf Lord, Dwarf King. Master Wizard,or Steward of a Kingdom long forgotten,or King of a Fallen People.All will fulfill there purpose and making the world a better place.If you are a Tolkien reader I hope you Will enjoy this account of Tolkien's influence on My teenage years.

The Hobbit was the first Tolkien book I encountered Bilbo Baggins became a friend and middle earth became my home. The ideal of and adventure really was exciting to me when Bilbo encountered Gollum he had another name then but he lost the game of riddles Bilbo won the ring and now the stage is sat for the downfall of the Dark Lord.Gandalf shows up at Bilbo's birthday party to see the ring be pass on to the ring bearer so the journey to restoring the middle earth to glory begins.Words like adventure,travel,treasure, became by words And Tolkien made the words have real meaning. Honor the words between Gandalf the Grey and Saruman the White where the true colors of both would be reveal Gandalf The White with a heart of pureness And Saruman The Fallen with the black heart. The Council Of Elrond were the fellowship of Good would meet and become the protector of the Ring bearer vowing to safe guard him at the risk of all even there very lives.The task given to the ring bearer's was a task that required commitment to honor unknown to man kind.

Ok this no book report but it is my account of the power of the writing Tolkien use to capture the mind of his reader.There Are moments that live on in the mind of the reader like when King Theoden Of Rohan leads his knights to the rescue of Gondor,I picture in my mind how they arrived and went into the battle with great courage lead by a king with a new spirit being delivered from under the spell of the dark lord what a great day that must have been. Courage renewed strength renewed and a new purpose that's what light does to a man of honor life.Or what about the moment Master Samwise decided if the ring would be destroyed he would have to do it immediately he accepted the task. Or Pippin the Hobbit marching out to the war with the men of Gondor every man a champion but Pipin stood strong and return victorious with the courage he would need to save his homeland.

Tolkien spoke about values without pointing fingers he use demonstration and he was actually writing about the present.Tolkien spoke of love, friendship, honesty,courage, taking risk to fulfill the purpose no short cut or quick fixes.Allow the problem to work itself out the higher power knew what he was doing when he choose the hobbits the lesser of all creation to restore the world too good.

That's why today some of those that have been left for dead and call no good are facing the task we have today who better can help restore the morals of man but those who suffered the most for lack of them. So do not loose face God has and army waiting to take there rightful place who were restored by principal and respect there presents in their lives.

Our best days are ahead the world will be restored and God will prevail over evil. That what I learned from Tolkien and continue to learn every time I take the time to read it again.
