A Drunken Proposal

Our group of 45 was in a large, grassy area in Aberdeen, Scotland. Our group was there to hold a free barbeque lunch for the people in this neighborhood. People were everywhere, waiting impatiently for the food to be ready. We were grilling hamburgers, and had chips, cookies, and potato salad, etc on the tables of food. There were so many people, we couldn't seem to have enough room to set up the tables and food so people could eat!

I had set my backpack and camera down on the ground, so I could help set up tables, and food. I was helping two other girls get stuff ready, when I realized there was a group of teenagers and other young adults now sitting where I'd left my backpack. Concerned for my camera, I walked over and attempted to collect my backpack and camera.

A young man in his early 20's was rifling through my backpack, and looking at my personal photo album I had of my family. Others were laughing and pointing to the various pictures and making comments. My backpack sat open, with the zipper undone, on the grass.

"Hey! What are you doing?" I asked.

He laughed drunkenly, and said "Will you marry me?"

"No!" I retorted, as I grabbed my photo album, backpack, and camera and walked away.
