When a female cat is not sterilized, eventually she will come in heat, meaning, she will be in the oestrus time, and it usually happens at the age of six month, more or less.

It is very important to neuter your cat, otherwise she will show these symptoms when she will be in heat:

* indoor females will try to escape so they will be able to mate.

* if your female cat won't mate, she will consistently make vocal noise.

* leaking her genital a lot.

* she may be in mating position (legs and tail up, front legs on the floor).

* rubbing against toys, furniture and people more then usual.

Well, it's not very nice to watch your beloved cat suffering, but if you do not want to sterilize her, you can also ask your vet for hormones to ease the symptoms.
