An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

While it is possible to write several pages on the quality benefits of apple cider vinegar, I will try to be as brief as possible. There are numerous reasons to use apple cider vinegar. Here you will read about only a few. Then, go to your local health food store and treat yourself to a bottle of the really good stuff. It is recommended that you buy Bragg's brand; there is no finer.

Apple cider vinegar is a totally natural product. It comes from the fermentation of apple juice to hard apple cider. Then, a second fermentation to apple cider vinegar. Through the processing, it retains all of the nutritional goodness of the apples it came from. Plus, it's fortified with extra acids and enzymes that is produced during the two fermentation steps. What you wind up with is, a product that is full of healthy benefits.

Apple cider vinegar has been used for hundreds of years as a food and as a medicine. Some vinegar mixed with honey makes an excellent tonic. It's been a natural home remedy to treat several common ailments; both internally and externally. Treating severe sunburn is just one of the uses. The soothing benefits out weigh the strong aroma of the vinegar.

It is now known that it helps to strengthen the heart. Helps to lower bad cholesterol levels and blood pressure. It kills infectious viruses, controls the appetite, stabilizes blood sugar and it contains chemicals that are valuable cancer fighters. Having just a little apple cider vinegar each day can do wonders when it comes to treating a number of ailments.

Here are a few examples:

Helps to maintain a youthful and vibrant body and slows the aging process. It is an aid to digestion and assimilation. Can help to relieve sore throats and laryngitis. An aid in controlling and stabilizing weight. Prevents itchy scalp and dry hair; ends dandruff. Sinus, asthma and flu sufferers get relief and breathe easier. It's an arthritis fighter--flushes harmful toxins and crystals from joints, tissues and organs.

In case you have never tried a quality apple cider vinegar, here is what you do. Buy a small bottle of the good quality stuff. Now, let me describe it for you. When you pick up the bottle, you will notice a certain amount of residue on the bottom of the bottle. That is called "the mother". That is the good thing you are looking to find. Shake it and you will see that it mixes well.

When you get home, take an eight ounce glass and put about four ounces of water(cold is better). Add one ounce of apple cider vinegar and stir. Take a sip. If it is too strong for you, just add a little bit of water and stir. Keep on testing until you get the right combination for you. Next, just take your time and drink it slowly.

Do this at least once each day. You will begin to notice an improvement. Everyone is different, so be willing to give it a few days.

This is by no means intended to tell you how to handle any of your medical problems. If you need medical attention, seek the advice of a qualified medical practitoner. Enjoying a glass or two of apple cider vinegar can be of added value.

breakfastpop, I like discovering healthy benefits that are not written about in the mainstream media. I found the quality apple cider vinegar about 7 years ago. It's the only acv I use. I like to drink it hot. Put about 1/2 oz in an 8oz cup, add hot water and a little honey. Try it with and without the honey.
