Poetry of the Young Mind
54Hello HubPages!
I decided my first Hub was of course, some of my old childhood poetry. I hope you enjoy as it is not up to any standards or any poetic form. Please keep in mind that I have kept the oiginal formating and did not fix any gramatical or spelling mistakes. Be as it may, it seemed a good way to introduce some of my writing into the mix.
A Friendly Warning About Love
To All The Lovers Around The World
For as long as I can love you I will hold you close
For as long as I am sane my heart is all to much yours
Hold tightly weary lover, for It yanks so hard on thy soul.
Craddle
As I look into your eyes I am lost
Lost in all your beauty, lost in you
My love for you has grown strong
Has been built up and strengthened with steel
Although the wounds I have from before will never heal
I allow you to mend them shut
For you, my love, have made me stronger
For you I always am and will always be
Thank you, Love, for your heart
For Letting Me hold it, fo letting me craddle it in my hands
Waking Up
In the vast darkness that has all to sudden fell upon me I SEE
I see her in all her beauty
I see her in all her exellence
But as I walk toward her she begins to fade
I scream and start running to catch her
before it is to late
But a second to late I reach her to feel her spirit leave this place
As I am drawn to ground by my grief I feel a loss
A loss of the love I felt
A love that was little but meant too much
Even what little love there was was evident
Even if my love was not all that great
But blossom it will not now that she is gone
And my loss is all but true now that I look upon it
For what she meant to me was yet to be known fully by others
For as I feel her presence forever more now
I will never let my temptation to be unwary of love be heard
For as i am mortal I am flesh yet less
For never will my care for her die
And never will I deny her of my friendship
Oh, Confused One
Sometimes I feel Invisible
As though i dont exist at all
For it always seems so
Another day to be alive without hope
Another time to know you still dont have a chance
For the whole world is against you
With little but words you stand tall
But are soon cut down to your knees
For you once again have lost
So what do you do now?
Forget all you know forget all you have heard
For love is the only thing that will guide you truly
Even through the harshest times
Love will endure all we know
Love is all! Love is Here!

Yuo are very compassionate in your verse. You show an amazing quality for affection, it is obvious. Helpful hint, hit on spellcheck, just to make it perfect.. Very good hub............
Hmmm, my first poem was when I was a second grader and not near as good as these, but that was of course before my heart was broken and way before I knew of sex. These are pretty good.Nice to meet you Justin.
