Simple Tips

Arranging and doing a product launch can seem daunting in terms of how to get your head around what needs to be done and make it a success.

I know from experience that planning is a very important tool, and this can be extremely demanding especially if planning is not one of your strong points. In this business, you MUST be able to plan.

I will like to quote these words (my greatest apology to who ever said it first because I cannot remember who did: but I still acknowledge the author): 'If you fail to plan, then you have planned to fail'.

Now let's get to the basics.

  • Set a series of dates and times (so that you can offer alternatives to your intended invitees).
  • Contact them and offer dates so that they have choices.
  • List invitees according to their accepted dates.
  • Arrange a venue: your house will do just fine too.
  • Get the essentials: Products, flyers, glasses, taster/tester packs (which invitees will be free to use for experience).
  • Think of what will not cost you much for your invitees to eat and drink (keep your cost to the minimum).
  • Make sure the drink and food does not overide the product launch.
  • Get a good relaxing music to play in the background.
  • You can use any of these for cues: Printed Product Lunch sheets, online product launch slides, internet, TV/DVD Player to play Your Future Video, Projector and a lap top. This is required to transmit the neccessary information across to you invitees.
  • Questionnaire A5 sheets (to collect basic information and contacts).
  • Free satchet samples.
  • Plan your approach and be relaxed.

Three days before, call all invitees to remind them of the launch.

24 hours before 'D Day' call again to remind your invitees again.

On the 'D Day', send out text messages to finally remind.

Now will be the time to set up. Make your arrangement to be as pleasant and homely as possible. To ensure that you do not have any technical hitch, go through all equipments by testing them and rehearse.

What you must not do is leave all these arrangements to the last minute where your invitees arrive and still find you trying to put things in order.

One other point to remember is that you MUST relax, de-stress your self, be focused and change your mind set to that of a business person. Be ready to 'float' around your guests and make them very welcome.

On arrival of your guests, make them feel at home. Chat and 'float' around and be engaging. Discussion at this point should be simple.

Before you start, introduce yourself (even if they all know who you are!). Let your guests know a little more about you and WHY you got involved in FLP.

Let your guests introduce themselves too to one another with basic information about their profession or what they do.

Follow that Product Launch guidelines. Allow them to absorb your information whilst making allowances for questions. Do not lie, tell things the way they are. You can also use experiencial stories in terms of what benefits you have derived using certain FLP products. Remember, the key points of being a successful Distributor is to use the products, experience the benefits, share the experience (which is same as recommending), get your customers and guests interested and most importantly, SELL yourself!

You will not be selling the products first, but yourself. People want to trust and believe in you. Once you achieve this goal, making conversions will become a little bit easier.

Please let me put this into perspective. The best product launches may not result in recruiting new Distributors, but you would have sown a seed in them. One thing is certain, you will make some sales if they really believe in your experiencial story. DO NOT LIE!
