It's really easy to make one of these lights. Home Depot, is the best place to find the glass squares used for basement windows and also shower doors. Usually they are seperate or you can buy them in a carton. Next I go to Michaels for the ribbon and mini lights. You will also need a glue gun, and now you are ready to start your neat project.1) you must bore a hole in the glass with a diamond bit. Be sure to have water slowly running over the bit to keep it from overheating. Once the hole is completed, you need to clean out the water and dry the glass.2) Lights: usually we use 50 to 35 lights., 50 gives more light and fills the glass better. It is hard to find the mini lights with white wires instead of green, which is the most common, but they can be found. 3) After you insert the lights, cut the ribbon to go around the glass,and glue it, one way and then the other. make a bow and you have a gift of light!
