As humans, we have grown and adapted to the beliefs and lifestyles centered around this core principal: “Survival of The Fittest.” To me, this is interchangeable with the chaotic notion of “Every man for himself!”  These principals or policies are a selfish way of life. The purpose of life is for the advancement of that very same. The gardening of humanity’s landscape is a responsibility that is neglected when these “core” principals are held as law, causing our earth to grow wild with weeds of war and personal gain.

As youth, we see the actions of our government father. We see the situation of our economic mother. We imitate the many traits and suggestions from our cousin medias and musical aunts and uncles. We see them and we formulate are own characters, we are raised by society. We practice the art of personal gain and expertly recite verbatim the suggestive lyrics of modern music. We incorporate these things into our lives. We neglect each other and excuse ourselves from our real obligations and responsibilities.

But in excusing ourselves from obligation and responsibility, we are surprisingly obliged to find purpose. Not to fulfill any preset notion of our capability, but to satisfy a goal bearing impossibility. To literally see our dreams come true. OUR dreams; those that are inspired by thoughts of plenty, ideas of infallible days and peaceful nights, they are alive within ourselves and are less than content with a life of secrecy. While achieving the confidence in releasing in an instant our intellect, we are suddenly consumed by hopes of reaching the pinnacle of ourselves.

Dare we brave the areas of boredom? We do. Not for ourselves, but for them. Those who have encouraged our minds with their fact that The Institution is needed in order to arrive at the place were dreams are made real. We are encouraged to believe that without traversing the proper avenues, success is severely and tightly sealed away and kept a deep secret. A savage life of intellectual poverty and/or mediocre aptitude, if we luck up, is most certain if we fail to occupy the top percentages in our classes.

It proves difficult, however, to occupy realizations of self when our young minds are tapered or perhaps bombarded with ideas of men and women who felt and thought as we now need to feel and think. Men and women who are dead and gone, not knowing that their knowledge is being loaded and shot through millions of young men and women’s minds. Instead of being used as inspiration to greater the next generations thinking and to help us realize ourselves, their thoughts are hung above our heads as cruelly as the unattainable carrot in front the horse, mocking and leading us on.

We are more likely to be displeased, disappointed, and downright angry with ourselves for failing to pursue and achieve other’s dreams and achievements. Time is lost on reaching and kicking ourselves when They tell us that we’ve failed to do or achieve something that has been done and achieved by someone.

It seems as though humans are not ready for the cultivation of original thought. They have become accustom to the teachings of the past and have been content with re-living rather than expounding on their ideas. One may ask me my plan for the advancement of young mind and fresh thought. My answer is simple: ask our youth “How would you have done it?” While utilizing our forefather’s accomplishments as an encouraging example rather than a guideline, the unique creativity of diverse young minds can be nurtured and can quite possible lead us in to a renaissance of intelligence unlike anything earth has attained.

An amazing thought is that maybe the cure for cancer isn’t a fancy new drug, or radioactive machine action. Perhaps a simple solution lays dormant in the dreams of a forgotten youth; a dream harboring greatness and human advancement. It is apparent that the next generation is ultimately responsible for the future.  It seems wise to adequately prepare them for the task of leading humanity into regions and realms, time and space that tap into the real potential of mankind.  The neglected communities of urban cities and the overlooked youth within them deserve a second consideration. There is no telling the kind of talent or genius that has been undiscovered in the rainforests of our communities. Who knows the amount species of youth and unique mind that has been destroyed due to our gangs, our drugs, and our liquor… to our unique “deforestation?”  Our community, our rainforest, with its vast and unfathomable amount of talent and intelligent species need to be explored and classified. They need to be preserved and held with the highest importance. I believe that our communities and the youth within are worth the effort to save.

I attempt at the possibility that my words, thoughts, ideas, and my dreams are worth studying. I assume that in delving into my mind, I can find comfort in the inspirations that stem from dreams seemingly feeding on their own destruction. If we can only survive to understand that we have intelligence beyond that of the deceased imagination, then finally those dreams can be watched, saved, and encouraged to learn to realize themselves.

I attempt that our words, thoughts, ideas, and our dreams are worth time and effort to sharpen. I charge us; do not be slave anymore to encouragements of shortcomings. Impress yourself and reach your intellect. Travel down the path laid for you. And as way leads to way*, you shall understand the importance of personal growth and best. Make and fill your own shoes. Read, write, and wonder.

*(as way leads to way) tastes of The Road Not Taken-Robert Frost 1920
