How may I even suggest this thought into anyones mind?? Because in reality, if you look at this comparison of life, we can compare ourselves to one grain of samd in the entire ocean. There are as many people in the world as there are grains of sand in the sea. And not one grain of sand, no matter what the ocean of life deems it in the end is better or worse than the next. We have all been created equal. Yet, it is what the seas of life tossing us to and fro mandate that we become.

A tiny grain of sand is what starts the formation of a beautiful pearl....throughout the years and it takes years to form a pearl;whether it be the beautiful round cultured type which is prized as jewelry or another form of pearl....called a baroque...which is not so round nor perfect in shape. Yet it is still called a pearl even though it has not been made to form the beauty of the cultured one.....which is actually forced into it's rounded shape on purpose.

As we grow from children to adults, we are tossed to and fro in the sea of life, being exposed to many things. Most of us as we were growing were exposed at some point to going to Church of a certain day of the week and listening to the Word of God which is presented in what I feel is the most important book of knowledge available to us. Now, what I feel, may not be the same as what you feel; as I am but one grain of sand in the sea of life. As a child, I did not understand the importance of this one book in my life nor exactly what it's principles meant to my forming into what I now call a rounded pearl....cultured if you will in the knowledge of the Book of Life. I wandered to and fro gleaning what knowledge I was able from the world in which I lived......and as most of us do, leaned on what was happening whether it be good, bad or indifferent. But again, as with learning about herbal cures, I went full circle and found another way..........

Yes, personally, I believe the above statement to be true. A baroque pearl is the one which is allowed to grow, tossed about and not cultured and tended. Depression grows from various reasons; most of them being determined as a lack in our life. A lack of love from the person we want to love us, a lack of money, a lack of a job, lack of a place to live, food, knowledge of how to gain whatever it is we want to gain in life. We are tossed back and forth wanting and never gaining what we want. Kind of like the Israelites wandering in the desert for forty years....they were not allowing themselves to be cultured nor patterning themselves in the way God wanted them to. So they were allowed to wander aimlessly instead of reaching their destination.....They became depressed and distraught and turned to the wrong things to gain life, but only ended up running around in circles. They turned to other gods, drinking and cavorting in adulterous manners-never realizing that all they had to do was follow the Ten Commandments to achieve the end they wanted. Depression may be cured by just reading and believing what God has to say in there. Hope can be derived from the Bible....and instead of following the worlds way, even though we have strayed into a valley of depression so deep, the comfort of the Lord can bring us out ..... culturing us if you will in His manner and to His form. But you must believe this is true .... no matter what you have been through being tossed about in the sea of life. you must rely on His word and His teachings.....the Bible is not a dead Book, outdated with old things to be tossed away as we are now being led to believe...in fact it is probably the only Book you would ever have to read to come out of whatever you are facing if only you follow it's teachings. It gives the only way to achieve full prosperity....something we all want and a great cause of depression....tithe ten percent of what you make every payday. Give it to God....God will give it back to you tenfold. This has been proven. Be not depressed over the state of the economy. This has all been written and will play out.....the only way it could ever change would be if we as the Israelites turn our faces back to the Lord and His Commandments.

But, you say...you don't know what I have been through...no I don't. I only know this one thing-my total faith in what I belive today did not start when I was a child. It was only after many years of doing what I felt I wanted to do and acting on those feelings and being crushed in love, losing jobs, cars, homes, wandering about wondering how I was going to make it all work with a young son and no father visible--that I finally turned my life around. I was in what I called a living hell....depression?? Depression was to me working three jobs and never having enough to pay the rent or clothe my child. Depression was wanting to go to the store to buy new clothes and having to buy my son a new pair of shoes instead...But noone ever saw how depressed I was, as I kept a smile on my face, even tho I cried inside.

I smiled because I knew someday it would get better.  And it did.  But only when I started to tithe ten percent of what I was making to a ministry.  Only when I started adhereing to the Word and living as it said, not how I wanted.   My life did change....and became what I consider to be rounded now, not living in a baroque manner anymore.   I drink chamomile tea when I am upset instead of alcohol....after all, God did give me the herbs of the earth to heal myself with and it does not give me a hangover!!   And I take herbs of the earth as God intended to keep myself well, not relying on chemical preparations....May God Bless You all!!!!
