How To Understand and Care For Your Immune System
72- Immune system - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
An immune system is a collection of mechanisms within an organism that protects against disease by identifying and killing pathogens and tumor cells. It detects a wide variety of agents, from viruses to parasitic worms, and needs to distinguish them
Our immune systems are so important
What are all the things so important about our immune systems?
You can't feel it or see it.
You can't take its pulse or its temperature.
We've heard all our lives how important it is to fight off infections...but what else does it do? How important is it really and why? We can go to the doctor and get meds if we get sick. We can get vaccinated for some diseases.
The electro system also sends signals when deformed cells, incomplete cells or any other foreign body arises within the system. Signals to destroy that cell.
Our immune system is out of sight and usually out of mind. Yet it's quietly and constantly patrolling your body to detect and destroy infectious microbes.
It's truly our most powerful protector, working tirelessly around the clock to keep us safe.
Here are just some of the reasons we should pay more attention to keeping our immune systems healthy, and it takes feeding our body lots of nutrients, getting lots of fresh air and staying active, yet sometimes that's still not enough as if most of our diet consists of processed foods, there are electro factors missing and the same is true of most nutritional supplements:
- In 2004, 61,472 people in the United States died of influenza or pneumonia, making those diseases together the eighth leading cause of death.
- Each year, around 215,000 people in the United States die from a severe bacterial infection known as sepsis, which is more than the number who die from breast, colorectal, pancreatic, and prostate cancers combined.
- Worldwide, measles killed about 450,000 people in 2004, most of them children.
- Tuberculosis, once considered under control, was responsible for 1.7 million deaths the same year
- This year we're being told of deaths occuring because of one of the viruses that for years has simply caused just a common cold.
At the same time, many new infectious diseases are emerging around the globe in such forms as bird flu and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).
HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B & C, herpes zoster, sinusitis and asthma are all directly associated with an immune system that has been compromised. Even inflammation and pain caused by such conditions as fibromyalgia or rheumatoid arthritis, for example, are the result of a depressed or compromised immune system.
And, for that matter, allergies are an example of a result of a malfunction within the immune system.
Usually our immune systems are quite effective in warding off disease. Yet sometimes things go wrong. A bacterium, virus, or other pathogen may make it past our immune defenses.
The immune response is very complicated and relies on having all electrical energy processes operating at peak performance.
However, I don't have to understand all the workings to know that.....
Our immune system is a most precious asset.
There is much information online about the immune system, how it works, and what diet and lifestyle are best to guard against immune system malfunction.
I have been researching and basically find that some sunshine each day, adequate amounts of water, sleep and exercise are very important to keep our immune systems in top shape and running smoothly.
Along with daily diet that includes a wide variety of types of real foods, not many processed foods and a good choice of nutrient dense supplements to supply what is missing in today's foods due to farming practices, long shipping distances and/or processing methods.
Our family has found excellent supplements that assure us of having all the nutrients, fiber, etc. our bodies need to work with and always have an eye out for headlines of new breakthroughs in wellness and always give consideration to any information shared with us by others.
I strongly suggest that anyone do research for the care and protection of themselves and their loved ones and focus more on total body care and seeing to it their bodies get all the nutrients they really need for their immune system to function at the optimum level possible, around the clock..

Thank you. Even tho I'd been in the business of wellness products for many years I had never realized the importance of modulating the immune system, so that it's neither under or overactive, and that takes something besides just some vitamins and minerals.

This is so true. It's very important to build your immune system up as best as possible and sometimes with the way is prepared we need some immune system supplement to pick up the slack. Science is always coming up with more ways to help promoting longevity and good health most of the way. It's important to understand what works best for you as an individual, as well as, understanding that we need a healthy immune system one way or another to survive
This is a wonerful website. The immune system is so important to be teaching about. I also have a hub which focuses on how to build this immune system completely naturally through diet and lifestyle. Perhaps you can check it out and we can link up.
Thanks for the great work
