A Link Tracker?

What the heck is a link tracker and why should I care about it?

Thousands of would be internet marketers have no clue if their online business efforts are working or not!

Are You One of Them?

Until recently I was and it wasn’t fun. I was getting traffic to my lead capture pages and other sites but had NO CLUE where it was coming from.

Unfortunately this meant I had to continue with ALL my internet marketing efforts just in case they were the ones bringing in the leads.

Not a smart way to run a business!

Then I started using a Link Tracker and all that changed. Now I know what links are being clicked on and what ones aren't so I can focus my efforts on what is working for me.

I know what you’re going to say… Sites like Squidoo will tell you that X number of people came to your content from Hubpages. But which Hubpage?

If you’ve only got one Hubpage that’s all you need to know. And you don’t need a link tracker.

But if you’re a serious internet marketer you’re going to have more than one Hubpage. In fact, you’ll have dozens (eventually). Heck, you’re going to have hundreds of pages all over the internet.

So, how are you going to know what’s working and what’s not? What should you do more of and what should you let fall by the way side?

That’s where a link tracker comes in...

A Link Tracker... What is it?

You NEED a Link Tracker!

Adding a link tracker to your arsenal of internet marketing tools is one of the smartest moves you can make because it will tell you what links are being clicked on and what ones aren’t.

You can even learn which part of your page is the most valuable by finding out which link on any given page is being clicked on more often.

For example… put a link at the top, middle and bottom of your content and track each one. After a week or so check to see which one got more clicks or conversions (which ever you are tracking).

The link that got the most clicks is in THE most valuable spot on your page!

Make sure the link in that area goes to your Most Wanted Response! Place secondary links in the other areas of your content.

Another thing a good link tracker will do for you is protect your affiliate commissions. It’ll do this by cloaking your affiliate ID so Nasty Folks don’t steal your commission.

You did the research. You wrote and promoted the content. You introduced and taught the person about a great tool. YOU should get the commission off the sale… NOT their good buddy Bubba!

Do yourself and your internet marketing business a favor… Learn which of your efforts are paying off and protect your affiliate commissions by using a good link tracker!

Great value Shelly. Little nitty-gritty details are what makes up our total marketing efforts and tracking is very important.

Hey Dan,

I upgraded to Gold the same day I gave it a test drive. So far I'm loving it. Have well over a hundered links in the system probably closer to 200 and it keeps them sorted and pulls the reports up just the way I tell it to.

Now I just have to learn a bit more about sub-campaigns. Not sure if I'm going to bother with them or not. What I'm doing is easy enough but we'll see. If I play around with them I'll make a video and let ya'll know what I find one way or the other.
