A New Porsche Convertible for a New Decade
65The New Porsche Convertible Boxter Spyder
Its racy lines will make you drool. Its speed will dazzle you. It's price will make you weep...with joy. Porsche has a new convertible, the 2011 Porsche Boxter Spyder. Standing still, it looks like you have to run to catch up with it.
This cool car, when equipped with launch control, goes from 0 to 60 in 4 seconds. It's light, weighing in at 2811 lbs, and sleek styling make it an agile, powerful and efficient sportscar. The top track speed is 166 mph with the roof open. Yeah, you can say it's fast.
This is the third Boxster model from Porsche and it will make its world debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, December 2, 2009. Like its sister Boxters, this Porsche convertible shares the same mid-engine roadster concept and features a 3.4 liter six-cylinder engine with Direct Fuel Injection upfront of the rear axle. The maximum output is 320 horsepower, 10 more than the Boxter S. The Boxter Spyder also has all-new sport suspension that lowers the car 20mm giving it a lower center of gravity and a standard limited slip differential.
The newest Porsche convertible is low-slung and has a lightweight soft top. When it's closed, it extends far to the rear to protect the driver and passenger from the elements. Additionally it has aluminum door skins and light weight interior door panels. The unique body styling and exclusive wheels complete the look and you have one dynamic-looking package.
This new Porsche convertible is available for sale on Febuary 2010 starting at an inexpensive price, for a cool sportscar: $61,200.

wow, this cars are awesome, whew! can i have a look again LOL<
Great write up. Inexpensive @ $61,000? I'd drop coin for a Z06 or a 911. I don't think there is a market for Porsche to outgrow the original low $40's Boxter.
@habee, it really is such a good looking car.
@myownworld, I hope your hubby gets the hint and buys it for ya!
@prettydarkhorse, it sure does look fun to ride.
@ediggity, I think this new Boxter will appeal to a new generation.
