Ahhhhh Vegas.....
I'm not a gambler but I LOVE myself a trip to Vegas.
First Rule. Decide before you go, how much you can afford to spend a day... and stick to that number.
I believe that Vegas has a bad rep for being a place packed with gamblers, (ok, maybe it has to do with all the casino's... smile) but I'm not a gambler and besides a little black jack and some slot machines, I get bored and tired of sitting around drinking in the casino's. So I like a little adventure, especially since I'm from the other side of the country.
I find the slot machines generally win me a small amount of spending cash that helps supplement my trip (which does not usually include much spending cash)
As one non gambler to another... I liked BINGO. That's right, BINGO. The great thing about Bingo in Vegas is... You can drink while you play! THAT WAS FUN! Close your eyes... Picture the last time you played or heard of anyone playing bingo... long tables crammed with people, chatting being friendly.... The old ladies with their "bingo" charms and bells.... now throw in some mixed drinks...... THAT was a fantastic night!
I love that place.
As is true with any vacation, the more money you have, the more things you can do that require money. If you don't have a lot of money (like me) you might have to be a little more creative with your time. We pooled our money and rented a car so we could check out the area... and it turned out to be a fantastic experience. We drove out to Hoover Dam and saw things that were just amazing. We cruised up and down the strip having wheels was a huge plus.
As it turned out, everyone had a great time. I forced them to play outside with me and site see and after dinner (which was late)... I went to bed and had the sleep of angels, while they stayed up all night gambling!
I love Vegas.
